Base line dyno run for C43

FINALLY received my CORRECT AFE filters. I wound up getting them from a dealer through Amazon, for $40 cheaper than straight through AFE!! Plus they sent me the correct part the first time.
Like I said before AFE is a bunch of clowns BUT their product appears to be high quality which is why I decided to stay with my choice of AFE filters but opted to get them from someone else.
I am going to install them in my Renntech CF air box today and test them out

Results to come

All I can say is WOW!
The difference is night and day, the second you bolt on the Renntech CF air box you feel the power. Truly the first thing I noticed was the increased throttle response @ 2000 RPM or higher but you definitely feel more power, more grunt down low and MORE pull up high. Probably the best mod I have done yet.
One question I have is my Renntech Air box didn't come with a screen over the inlet like my stock air box had, what is this screen for and do I need it?

To answer your question Dre, I am waiting for my wife to graduate so I can steal her car while mine is having the exhaust done. She graduates on May 10th so it will be soon. I have been waffling on which cats I want but I think I have settled on Random tech cats. True though, the bad stuff happens instantly (hit n runs in parking lots) while a simple air box and filters take almost 2 months

ZAYED,,
can't wait

In the midst of scheduling a dyno run to capture the gains from the Renntech CF air box. While the gains have been captured before I have never seen them captured on a C43. I would also like a dyno before I install the Kleemann headers and high flow cats.
The Renntech CF air box still amazes me every time I hit the gas, I wonder why AMG didn't make the stock air box more like the Renntech box

The whole kit was $375 + $25 for shipping.
The pulleys appear to be high quality and are very light weight. I am going to weigh the kit and the stock components and will post the results. I plan on having these installed in the next 2 weeks and then back on the dyno.
as i remember; is that belt "6 PK-2415"......??

Once I get the vibration figured out I am going to go hard finishing up my C43. I should get my car back on Thursday, right now the drive line is out having the balance checked (I HOPE THE VIBRATION IS FROM THE DRIVE LINE!!!)
Right now I am driving a 2012 GLK 350 which isn't that bad of a car but definitely makes me miss my C43.
I will be posting an update on the vibration in my https://mbworld.org/forums/c36-amg-c...-take-off.html thread.
Believe me I want to complete the project BAD!!!

I didn't go with the green filters as I read too many horror stories about them disintegrating.

AFE is a great filter,,
Oily filter >>=>> Slowly MAF death.......

I also searched for the 4,3 model in a 99' w210 and it gave the same # as the 5,5
