A slice of humble pie served by a W211 E55

I got to play around with a W211 E55 in Mexico tonight. He followed me onto the on ramp which was a long sweeping turn to the left and that's when the fun began. We hammered it just before the turn began and it was clear that I had the advantage at this point as when we first laid into the throttle he was RIGHT on my *** but exiting the turn I was a good 4 or 5 car lengths ahead of him. There is a straight away for about 1/4 mile and then it is another sweeping turn but this one is to the right and a little sharper. By the time we are at the second turn he has caught back up to me but again exiting the turn I am easily 5 car lengths ahead of him but now we are on a long straight away that is at least 2 miles long and this is when the humble pie was served. My 5 car lead was gobbled up by the wonder that is the W211 E55 in a matter of seconds. This guy literally passed me like I was standing still I have NEVER been smoked like that before, EVER. Judging by the exterior and the driver I truly think this car was stock which blows me away even MORE. One second he is in my rear view mirror and the next all I see is tail lights.

Don't get me wrong I NEVER thought I was going to come out on top but I surely wasn't expecting to get passed up INSTANTLY like I was a geo metro especially having a 5 car lead.

The W211 E55 is NO JOKE

It was a LARGE slice of humble pie that was served to me tonight but the fact that it came from an AMG made it taste a little better

E55's are complete monsters.
They have ALOT of low end torque and pick up speed very fast.

Where in Mexico are you?

Ever have any problems with la mordida? For those that don't know, mordida is the 'service fee' collected by certain officers of the law.

CLASSIC!!!

This actually took place in a video game in Mexico as I wouldn't dare do this on the streets of America as that would be ILLEGAL

Oh really? Who's done it? I was wondering if there's physical space for the block and S/C.

But hell, I'll do it. Give me a year or so to get the money/find an engine.

Trust me the thought had crossed my mind but when looking at the price range for a W211 E55 that I would want they are in between $25k-$40k.

Pretty sure I could buy a W210 E55 and get it to run high 12's for less than $25k

Really as long as I could do this I would be happy :

The owner says it ran a 12.8 1/4 mile

If you ever get a 211 E55 you should start saving right away for front struts and rear airbags because more than likely you'll be putting them in time.
