Need maintance help

Guys after overhauling the suspension I am turning to a few cosmetic items that I need to take care of. I need some assistance on how to fix these the most cost efficient way.

Headliner and part c post trim has been falling.

Window switches don't work. Windows won't go up or down. This includes the side mirror control.

Speakers are pretty much blown in the rear. I think it's due to the age.

Thanks

904,

1) There was a post about a guy doing his own headliner, let me see if I can dig it up. It doesn't look like something I would want to do myself, even though I'm pretty handy. I believe the entire headliner needs to come out if you want to fix the sagging.

2) If you fix your window switches, let me know. I just disconnected my battery to install a new HU and when I went to use the windows, the one-touch function stopped working. I had to futz with them before they started working properly again (working properly as in touching it once and the window goes up and/or down).

3) The rear speakers look pretty easy to remove, just pop your trunk and check out the rear deck.

Report back when you're down. Oh, and take pics!

I just got a quote for the headliner repair. Great shop here in Dallas quoted me $450. That is a for a faux Alcantera material. Should be a nice upgrade.

Not sure on the window switches. If you are talking about the auto up/down function - the owner's manual tells you how to reset those. It's easy. Otherwise, I don't know. Maybe the convenience relay?

Sounds like if the mirror switch and none of the windows work it's something with the connection on that switch trim. Does your trunk popper work? I'd check the connections underneath that wood trim. It's fairly easy to remove, just search.

For the head liner I would leave that to professionals, its not easy to get it to look right.

for the switches I would get a digital multi meter and check if you are getting power to the switches. If not I would start with checking fuses, connections, and then the worst: tracing wires looking for a break in the wires. it is really easy to remove the panel the switches are mounted in, you can do it with your bare hands. Just pull up.

for the C pillar someone just posted a thread about refreshing their B&C pillar, I would use the search

If you have disconnected the battery, you need to reprogram the switches...

I was contemplating on getting it resurfaced or buying a used one. I am scared to buy a used headliner because it could fall off soon after I buy it. Trying to stick with the factory look. They quoted 500 for the labor if the headliner was out locally here in jax fl. This isn't somethjng I would take on my self...

Found another way to 're-program' your switches after re-connecting your battery....Hold switch in the 'down' or 'close' position for 10-seconds. This method is right in line with what was posted earlier, although no mention was made of a 'clicking' sound to signify that the switch has been re-programmed.

I went nearly a year with my C43 before I found out that the windows were 1-touch friendly!

Another method you need to do is pull your window switches and give them a good cleaning with electrical spray cleaner. Over time, the contacts will have accumulated corrosion and dust, which will make operation spotty.
