Just purchased some Konis from a fellow member for my 43. Currently, it is sitting on Euro springs with Bilstein B8s. I won't have any issues with Koni + Euros, correct?

Anybody interested in the Bilstein Sports when I make the swap? Winks911 ran them for only 600 miles & I have only put roughly 2000 miles on them.

euro springs are taller than lowering springs
you might screw up your new koni's using factory springs?

i think he will be ok. keep in mind the euro springs are at least 1.5" drop from the factory USA springs.

Any way to find out for sure? I'd rather not put them on the car & find out the hard way.

Based on what I just paid to get the Konis shipped, I'd probably do $300 shipped insured for those in the U.S.

Interestingly enough, I was told they were the 8041 series 1315 sport & 1316 sport (which is what is on the receipt), but when they arrived, they were actually the 26 series 1575 sport & 1576 sport. I'm aware that the 26 series are internally adjustable, whereas the 8041 are externally adjustable.. Also, the level of adjustability is more limited than the 8041. I'm quite disappointed.

However, I'm unclear if the 26 is a monotube design and the 8041 is a twintube. Are these two designs much different from each other?

Side note: I didn't measure, but these Koni shocks are roughly 1/2"-3/4"longer than the Bilstein B8s.

the 26 series is not for C43 although it might fit, it's made for regular w202 cars.
the 26 series shock has to come off the car to make the settings which is very time consuming!
the 26 series is a monotube shock, it's stronger than twintubes for c43

can't you return the wrong ones getting your money back?

I could probably return them, yes. But if they were generally the same, I would keep them. If they are completely different and unfit for the C43, I will most likely return them. Honestly, I won't be adjusting them multiple times. Kowalski, you set yours to full stiffness and never changed them, right?

my MB-techgüru set them Koni's to hardest once and then let them stay hard.
no need to change the settings between soft and hard as it's a bit difficult to access one of the top adjustments where the TB is.
adjustment Koni knob won't fit and you'll need a tool with long arms to axxess drivers side shock, to change settings to your likings

I have never tried the soft settings and I will never try it as I love the way she now rocks my boat.
keep your shox on hardest settings.
car will feel like a gocart.
try to stay away hitting potholes!
