Wheel Bearings

i'm getting some front end vibration so i jacked it up and found that the front passenger wheel and rear driver wheel did not spin as freely as the other two wheels. i would estimate only two full rotations versus four full rotations with approximately the same force applied. no noise though. rotors and pads are fine.

i believe the vibration is most likely the 17" monos being unbalanced or slightly bent, so i am going have my 18" monos stripped and powdered or maybe better yet just order some amg reps with new rubber for the summer, but just wondering if anyone else would be concerned with the bearings.

do you have any play from bearings when you wiggle the wheels?

how many miles on your car?
I wonder how many miles wheel bearings last before they turn into brake pads blocking the wheel from spinning?

They aren't causing your vibration

Bearings are an easy job to do. However the final fine tuning to get the free running spin is a touch tricky. The MB workshops use a dial comparator to get the correct tolerance. Too tight they will wear out quick. Too loose and you get shimy and faster wear also.

One or two have had front wheel bearing problems with your model over in the uk .They need checking out at every service ..Remove and i think they are sealed bearings on you car, but i am not sure about that one .If you can re grease them that would be better

They are not sealed bearings. Standard tapered.
