1998 C43 AMG
C43 TO C50 swap

Need help from fellow Forum members find oil pump seized on my c-43 and I need to swap a 5 liter engine in the oil pumps are different the sprockets and gear teeth are two different sizes what can I do to overcome this

I have way more slack in this chain and I would like can someone please help

I'm trying to put a 5l engine into my c-43 and I found out that the oil pump has a different number of teeth on its gear

Are you trying to use the original oil pump in the new 5L engine?

Can you use an oil pump from the 5L engine?

C43 TO C50 SWAP
The oil pan won't fit on the car using the original oil pan from the 5l engine so I have to use the oil pan from the 4.3 L engine but then the pickup is in the wrong location...... and when I try to use the 4.3 L oil pump in the 5l engine the sprocket on the chain is smaller so I have excess slack in the chain I'm not sure if I should install it that way

It sounds like you have an expensive engineering project on your hands. What was the decision making process to use the 5L engine?

No availability on 5.5 liter engines at the time and I was short on funds so I purchased a 5-liter instead
