Tilton Pedal Box Install C55 W202 Track Car
While in lock down what better time for a new project on the car. A pedal box came to mind as I felt the car needed more control with the controls.
Plus that bloody soft brake pedal was getting a real problem on track. So with the box I’ll have more control over pedal feel and pedal gap.
Any way as always with my threads pictures speak louder than words.
Stripping out the old parts
Making the base plates with the pedals angled up the bulkhead
Tilton pedals are made top notch also quite east to mount
Moved the throttle control inside the car to make throttle rooting easy
Got some cheap cylinders first cut them down to have pedal box as far back to fire wall as possible
Throttle cable rooting
I feel like a plumber
Fitted the Tilton master cylinders

May I ask how much pedals cost you?
Where they difficult to install?
I assume pedals are race adjustable for your special preferences?
thank you for your kind words I’ve been a mechanic for many years now so jobs like keep me on my feet
Tilton make there pedals to the highest standard so install quite easy as they mount easy. The biggest thing for me was the brake pedal
on the c43 is too soft as I have 6 pot callipers on the front. So now with the new pedal box I’ll have more pressure at the pedal

I assume you are also using SS braided lines like those offered by Goodridge. I changed mine to the SS type on all four corners and this improved pedal feel (less sponginess).

Maybe Raw can confirm this?
