Hey, i recently got a ‘98 C43 with sub 90k miles on it and i’ve been doing some modifications on it (coil overs, exhaust done yesterday) and i've been looking at the earlier w201 190E Evo 2s. I have found some places who sell the wings like the ones on the evo 2 and i was wondering about the fitment on those on my c43 trunk. Does anyone know if it would fit? or about any other spoiler with the same style?

C43 prices have been tracking up recently, especially with yours having less than 90k miles. It might be a good idea to stick to things that are easily reversible versus doing something where you would need to drill holes in your trunk lid.

Post some pics of your new c43 , that was a nice find with 90k miles and yeah man suspension is one thing but wings and things on a rare c43 should be thought out well these cars are coming up in price you want to keep them classy sie and as oem as possible but your car your choice

I also have mixed feelings about adding a spoiler on the rear trunk lid, specially if it's not an OE item. Probably rare as hens teeth these days, but who knows.
For those interested attached below is the AMG catalogue from that era. You can find the part #s

Searched the net using the part # and found some options but at around $600 it certainly isn't cheap

He could buy another trunk and add whatever spoiler to that trunk. That's what Im thinking of doing. Buy a c280 trunk and than fiberglass a spoiler to that.

There was a change in the trunk shape, even within the W202. Earlier W202's have a flatter top surface of the trunk and post facelift cars have more shape. An earlier trunk lid would have a better chance, but I doubt that you'll find anyone here that has actually tried to fit that spoiler on a W202. You might have some luck finding something on Club202.
