C43 Steering Wheel Restoration?
Anyone ever had their C43 steering wheel restored?
The perforated leather at the top of mine is peeling off and ruined. The rest of it could probably be saved, but either way the top part is ruined.
Has anyone ever had their steering wheel restored? Re-wrapped? If so, how did it turn out? Can I just call an upholstery shop and they can handle it?

Is the sport trim you guys are talking about the carbon fiber looking plastic trim? If yes it’s nice but the plastic is so thin and flimsy. Once it’s on it’s ok but wish Mercedes would have made it much better quality.
I been thinking of turning the oem wood trim into a carbon fiber look a like. Will have way better quality and fit than the plastic trim. Ive use quality carbon fiber look a like vinyl but I wasn’t happy with it. There are another options but haven’t had the motivation to look into it.
I’m not knocking the plastic trim btw. I have that on my white car with the tuxedo interior. Looks nice like I said, it’s just cheap looking….
