C450/C43 Wheel Fitment Guide
cannot recommend that - or guarantee that it would work

I am running the oem 19" forged wheels from c63 w205 with 235/40/19. `19x8.5j et33. it very very very lightly scrubs. until the part that rubs is gone then its fine. et32 is prime for me. this would be similiar to a 19x8 et38. so i think the clearance may be 1mm but it would be tight. there is also tolerance from car to car. i may have a wider tolerance by 1mm too.

OP, go to BBS website direct and find a distributor. they make a 9" wide wheel for the rear to make a staggered set up. tire rack isnt a great place to go for our car, they only sell what they know will fit with tons of margin. nothing wrong with a square setup though if you want it. I just think the rear tire will be smokin more frequently due to less traction.

18x8 et35
18x8 et44
19x8.5 et32
19x8.5 et46
CarID.com shows the other offset options, but they are out of stock.

Thanks for creating this thread everyone, still have some questions, but learned a lot already.

with regards to offset, just google wheel offset explanation. It should bring up tons of websites that would give you a general understanding of positive/negative offsets. What it means the higher or lower the number is for offset and whether it sticks out of the body of the fender or not.
Generally, if you’re stock height and go for 19x8.5” width, the front offset range would be +30 - +28. With a 245/40 19 tire, don’t be surprised if you see the clearance from the tire to the suspension arm nervously close... It is what it is, if you wanna go 8.5” width. The rears are more flexible, so that really depends on your taste on how flush you want it to be. Anywhere from +45 - +50, depending on your rear width.
Happy wheel hunting!

Thanks for the info. Would adding spacers on the front eliminate some of that close proximity to the suspension geometry? Also, would it be so close that it may rub at full lock (depending on tire choice)? As far as I understand spacers effectively change wheel offset. Im going to do some research now so maybe I'll find answers to some of those questions. Thanks again.
Edit: That calculator is a great resource, thanks. Seems like a 245/35 and a 275/30 is the way to go without changing factory width difference too much. I also see that a 245 tire can fit on an 8" rim. Maybe that is a better option

gonna use factory tire sizes.
19x8 with 35mm offset front
19x8.5 rear with 42mm offset
will I have any issues
don’t really want to use spacers
any input is appreciated.
edit. Installed the enkie raijin as described above. Perfect fit. Front was approx 1mm from control arm but does not rub!
Last edited by rojas joseph; Oct 25, 2019 at 03:52 PM. Reason: It works
Decided to custom hydrographic them in carbon fiber with custom tinted MB center caps
Wheels: TSW Mallory: No spacers needed
Front: 19x8 eta 32
Rear: 19x9.5 eta 53
Tires: Pilot Sport 4S
Front: 235/40 R19
Rear: 265/35 R19
Hope this helps those who are searching; like I did when I was reading this thread. Next up still waiting on my CF hood.
Now just waiting for my custom carbon fiber hood to come in then turbo install.
Front 19x8.5 et32 part# 1985INT325112M72
Rear 19x9.5 et53 part# 1995INT535112M72
Front tires 245/35
Rear tires 265/30 (or 275/30)
Let's just say Michelline PS4S
Anyone forsee any issues? Seems like I should be good with this setup. Maybe a small spacer up front.

Hmm ok, tbh my main goal in upsizing rim size to 19" (I am on the stock amg 5 spoke 18") was to get more rim width (and with that a wider tire). If it's only really reasonable to fit a 235 I may just cram that onto the stock 18x7.5 rim and go up to maybe a 255 in the rear.
Looked into things a bit more as well, the stock front rim is 18x7.5 et 33, and the wheel I was looking at is a 19x8.5 et 32, meaning I'd be shoving another inch (24mm after accounting for the 1mm loss in offset) of wheel toward the front suspension. That's before accounting for a 20mm gain in tire width (I'd assume 10mm of that would be toward the inside), and the fact that summer tires are wider for the same width measurement than the all seasons that I have stock. With that being said, it seems like I'd be losing about 35mm (maybe a drop more) of inner clearance. In the morning I'm going to check inner clearance at full lock in both directions, and at a few other angles. Will report back on that.
Alexasa I see your post above about you scrubbing the inside with a 19x8 et 30, with those specs and the same math I did for my situation, I calculate you lost about 19mm inner clearance.
Also in regards to post by star4life, reporting 19x8.5 et 33 with a 235 tire, I calculate inner loss of 30mm. Star4life reports very very light scrubbing.
Seems to me like this can vary from car to car, rim to rim, and tire to tire. I'd love to be able to step up to a 245/275 setup, would any combination of front and rear spacers make this do able? I'm stock ride height btw.
Thanks for all the knowledge everyone.

cramming wider tires on narrow rims doesn't help achieve anything productive either. fit tires meant for the width of the wheel.
