C450/C43 Wheel Fitment Guide

yea the problem with upsizing rear for looks is on the 43, we have very small fronts in comparison so we cant upsize the front. You get massive push under steer with a large rear and small front. and with our AWD is is not close to necessary like the c63 which has rwd. my plan is to run a 275 or 285 rear with 245 front. still beefy (especially the 285) but will at least keep a closer to oem ratio.still not great oem. i bet a 255 square setup would be killer but squeezing a 255 up front is difficult. i may attempt it. we will see.
i currently am running 245/275 on my winter wheels and its working well.

I might attempt a C63 front end conversion, so I am looking at C63 wheels for the potential project. A set of 20x10.5 ET 52 rears turned up and they looked fine on the C63, but just wondering if I'm going to get any surprises on the C43.

I’m on 295/30 19, now on 19x10 +55. I’m using Michelin ps4s. I used to be on 20x10 +55, with 285/30, Continental dws 06. The 20’s rubbed the liner more. That was because of the taller diameter.
I’ll post some clearance pics of my rear. You guys be the judge if 10.5” width with 305’s would fit. I think with a +55 offset and height adjustable springs it will. You can keep the fronts at 255/35, which is what I have on 19’s, it’ll still be within the f/r 4matic ratio.

thats really tight! any pics and spec of the 255 front setup?
is there any way to make this combination of spacers/tired you can recommend to make these work on a stock height 2019 C43 wagon.
specs are:
front: 19” 8.5 wide and 38 offset
rear: 19” 9.5 wide and 38 offset

You could have the rear hub machined for the 9.5's reducing the offset. Need to get them down to et40ish - et45. BBS has proprietary spacers that could easily put them right back to correct spec. Given that the bore and all that is correct.
I run 9.5 et39 lowered and the people a et36 stock height are poking pretty hard. I would not go any wider than my current set up in the rear.
you must have edited post. sorry. the rear is borderline and front needs the BBS 10mm to be safe. Should really lower it to make it work though.

rear is bolt on. may poke a little though. i think an aggressive fitment for rear is 9.5j with an et of 45. so pushing another 7mm may look off unless you are lowered.

sorry I put the wrong offset before I edited it, I’ll attach a picture of all the wheel specs I have currently.
machine the wheel to increase offset is a concept I have never considered.. so with a 38 offset I can hope to achieve a 43-45max?

that is tight. i may stick to 245. i only have a 9.5 rear wheel so cant do a 295 to match diameter. may stick to 245/275. and they dont make a 285/30
