2019 C43 AMG order - status, options, pics etc
FWIW, those numbers are in the same ballpark as what I'm being quoted. I'm talking to my SA about leasing a 2019 C43 Cabriolet. MSRP $67K, residual (36/10K) is $37K, and he's quoting payments at $849/mo with $4K due at signing. If I'm doing the math correct, that's a money factor around .00139, which correlates to 3.3% interest. All seems within the realm of what one would expect I think.
I ordered one also and will lease due to tax reasons. I'd rather have the C63 just for fun of it, but my dealer told me the money factor is about double on a C63 vs C43 - can anyone confirm that is correct. The added interest (even with the tax deduction) is something I'm not going to do.

Jason - you're right, it's tough to comprehend getting upside down, but it happens all the time. Likely not so much for the people buying Benz's, but it still happens. I eluded in one of my previous posts dealers out to simply make the sale at whatever cost...less than responsible lending practices just to move inventory. Say Joe-Bob comes in an wants a brand new Chevy Malibu. Instead of shopping on the overall best price for the purchase, he lands at a scummy dealer who prey's on this type of buyer. The negotiation instead is a battle of extending terms and minimizing down payments in order to hit Joe-Bob's monthly payment target and get the sale. Joe-Bob buys the $40k Malibu for 10% down on an 84mo loan. He's barely paying any principle the first year, yet the moment he drove it off the lot, he lost 25% in depreciation. Another year goes by, another 15k miles, he backs in to a parking bollard and cracks his bumper cover. Joe-Bob, not being the smartest with his money management, takes on other debts, life comes around and something happens he decides he needs to get out of the car and get a beater car because he needs the cash. He's two years in on a seven year loan, barely paid principle because the term is so long and trying to sell a beat up two year old car for $20k that he probably owes $28k on. Joe-Bob still owes $8k and still needs somehow pay for a cheap car. If he would've shopped for a good deal on the total price of a car more in line with his budget, say a $18k Kia, he could've put the same $4k down, done a 48mo loan and saved nearly $200/mo on his loan payment. The first scenario plays out at a stupefying rate.
On topic: I'm with Noah Phatt on build quality concerns...between all the creaking and rattling on the '17 M.Y. Alabama builds, and the new facelift interior, wishing everyone the best. I'd live with it for that new cockpit though!

About the manufacturing location; I had a Nov 1st build date and my SA is now telling me I could potentially have delivery a little past mid November. This makes me think its getting shipped from Alabama rather than from overseas. I'm thinking US-based c43s are still built in alabama but will slowly get phased out in favor of EQ.

Delivery time from port to dealership will of course vary but I would assume 3-5 days minimum.
Same here "MB USA is waiting for clearance of the wholesale paperwork"....

New Here, and so glad I stumbled upon this thread.
Thanks for all your posts regarding your delivery updates. Feels better knowing a lot of other people are experiencing the same waiting frustrations.
I ordered mine back in July with an expected delivery of September, and as with everyone else still waiting...
I sold my heavily modified Jeep Wrangler in September thinking I would have the new car by then, wishful thinking!
Thankfully my SA was very accommodating and provided me with a loaner until my new baby arrives.
So I've been driving a 2018 C300 sedan loaner since September, dying to get into my official Benz!!!

I really love the car, I'm a fan of sports cars and this C43 T-model is really a performance car for on the streets.
My car is full option and I've got the performance seats, the entertainment system is great, the burmeister is very good, airconditioning is working excelent (this is a pain in the *** on my maserati) the car drives just great, steering is direct, suspension is very stiff as I like it, the 4 matic does its job and the car is really stuck on the ground.
