Need advice on c43

I'm considering a 2018 c43. The dealer is offering about $8700 off MSRP of $68500, in Canada. The lease payment would be around $870 at 2.9% for 45 months with 24000 km per year with zero down. Residual value is 46%. Is this a good deal? Or Should I wait for the 2019 to arrive next month and try to get a similar deal? Any ideas what residuals would be on the 2019?

The other option I'm considering is a 2015 c400 and getting it tuned. Financing would be $570 to $600 per month depending on rates. But I'm worried about having to pay for any out of warranty repairs, which I imagine are expensive in a Mercedes.

Trying to convert this early on a Sunday made my brain hurt. Tough to say whether you’ll find a similarly structured deal on a 19. If the ‘18 is the car you want, go for it. If you’re willing to battle for a glimpse at ‘19 inventory and potentially pay more, wait for ‘19. It sounds like you and I are similar in that we don’t like messing with out-of-warranty stuff. Don’t do the 400.

Whatever you do, stick with this model. I’ve had so much fun in 6 months of owning my 43 sedan.

You won't be getting 12.7% off on 2019, that for sure. Last week, I placed an order for 2019 c43 sedan msrp $72090. Only discount I could get atm was 4%. Maybe next Sept, you can get 10%+ off when 2020 comes out.

You're right - I believe the vehicle is marked up 8% in Canada. A 4% discount is pretty good for a car that hasn't been released yet.

I financed a 2016 C450 CPO for less than you are saying you can get a 2015 C400. Could be CAN Vs USA.

I think it doesn’t matter: C43 or tuned C450 you’ll love the car.

Thanks for the replies guys. At this point I think I'm just going to wait to see the 2019's in person, and test drive both and see if the difference in payments is worth it for the '19. I'm worried to buy the 2018 today and find out that 2019 is way better and only marginally more money per month.

If you wait another 4 months for 2019s to come out, the 2018s will get even cheaper. However, the pickings will get slimmer.

I own a 2018 and I would wait for a 2019 seeing as the car look much more aggressive and has the tech.

2019's discount wouldn't be as great as 2018. That is for sure. They needs to clear out 2018 models and will be willing to give a better deal if they still one those at their lot.
I hear the 2019 will have a slightly HP difference and the screen maybe a bit nicer?
I doubt the extra HP will make a big difference when you drive it.

Do you consider getting a Demo? They will need to clear all the 2018 new cars also the Demos.
Demo will waive freight and PDI, which is close to $2600 off. plus dealer discount and MB Corporate Discount, that's 10k+ savings.

Also, do you really need 24000km per year?
You can go as low as 12000,or 18000. This will also lower your monthly payments.

The 24km is important, I drive a lot! Does anyone have/know a good dealer in Ontario or Quebec to get a better deal? I know end of the month dealerships usually give better deals as well.

Thats a lot of kms for a demo that's been pounded hard by hundreds of people who are like, amg let's floor it!

Not gonna lie, I am the worst offender

I agree, 13000km is a lot on a demo. I'm actually surprise that they allow so many clicks on a Demo car. I was told that once they hit 5k, they need to stop letting people driving it.

No AMG drivers package? No intelligent drive package? Is it obsidian black paint? Is your interior black leather or the dynamica (I think that's what it's called). Are you getting upgraded wheels? I feel like $780 a month + 2.5k due on delivery is high for a car that isn't fully optioned and has 13k km of demo driving on it. How much are they dropping off the price of the car since it's a demo? Also, 13k km is more than enough to destroy the garbage tires that come with the 19 inch rims...make sure you take a hard look at how much tread is left.

That price doesn't seem too bad, but I imagine with 24k it would go up by at least $35 a month. Which isn't saving much on the car I was quoted, that has more options and zero KM..

You'll probably see a lot of MB Corp Demos between the 10k and just under 14k Mark. Employees allowance is about 14k. Employees that chose to get the C43 weren't allowed to get the AMG Drivers Package specced to their car. And yes it probably was beated hard on as these employees just drive it until their KM allowance is done and onto the next demo. This is as far as I know for MB Corp Demos, can't speak for Private Dealers.

AMG and Intelligent Pkg rarely happens on the Demo car.
If you want the Premium + AMG pkg + Intelligent pkg, with the First Class Lease Protection Plan, On a brand new car I believe that it will be high 900s CAD with tax.
No AMG pkg means it is on All seasons 18" not 19".

I don't have the number on how much it was taken off MRSP, I'm not the seller, I'm just sharing what I found.

Pay to play, if one want a brand new car, never got touched, with all package they want. Brand new Car is the only option and it won't be close at $800 a month.

I never mentioned that it is a boiling hot deal but it could be an option for someone that is looking for a C43 below $800s tax in.

Personally, if it is a lease I wouldn't care that much if it is a Demo, lease is only a long term rental anyway. You don't own the car. Although I agree that 13000km is kinda high and almost treated as an used car. Also, make sure the overall condition is well maintained.
