Winter Tires on C43
Hey Guys,
Which model of winter tires are you putting them on your C450 or C43?
I'm thinking to go for Micheline Xi3 or stick with the Run Flat Tire on Pirelli 210 Sottozero Serie II Run Flat M+S Moe.
Anyone has experience on the Pirelli 210 Sottozero?

I had 19" wheels with Continental SSR summer tires, decided to keep staggered 19" setup and got this:
1. Raijin19 wheels front 19x8 offset 35, rear 19x8.5 offset 42
2. Tires Conti Extremecontact DWS 06 front 225/40ZR19, back 255/35ZR19
They came installed/balanced from Tire Rack, with new bolts (because the shape of the cone is different on Raijins). Installed easily, clearing around is nice. Did not have any really wintry conditions yet so nothing to report here but one important difference is: even though those are still 19" wheels, the difference in ride is unbelievable. The "harsh ride" that C43 is sometimes credited with in various auto reviews is completely gone, the car goes nicely over speed bumps now. I didn't push it to the limit, but I think its cornering is now a bit less sharp as well because the tires are softer (they are also not a run-flat ones). So far, I'm happy with those and looking forward to winter... I kinda started to like the firm ride of summer run-flats, but they would be definitely bad in wintry mix near freezing, so no looking back for sure.

My concern is I hear RFT actually flat or leak very often.
I'm on my 18" All seasons, not 19" Performance Summer from the AMG pkg.

I've got a set of the Pirellis that served me very well last winter. They were the only 19" runflat M+S MOE that my dealer could find. Will be getting much more snow usage out of them this winter for ski weekends up on Mt. Hood, so will give a better report out this season...

Has anyone gone square setup on their stock 19s? It's really hard to find 225/40/19 (not a lot of selection). 255/35/19 has a bit more selection but the only ones that overlap are Perreli Sottozero 3 and yokohama ig52c

Someone correct me if I am wrong on the wheel part (whether or not you get new wheels that are 7.5J all around or OEM 7.5J fronts and 8.5J rears).
edit: 8.5's can still take 225 but it causes it to be stretched.
