Personally, I would rather have a thoroughly tested product than shoddy work that could be made with parts from Ebay. At least they are actually taking the initiative to work towards an air intake solution.

I think we are all just eager to see the results; I know I am. I also follow them on other social media site, they have recent post on other cars and products. So why not post here or on the other social media site about this specific product with results? I guess we'll just have to be patient! I know I'm always looking for this post to see new info, can't wait!!

Individual results are not usually worth posting. They are probably wanting to ensure that results are replicated and can be confirmed. Or......maybe just more R&D to build a better product. I am just eager to know if there will be a way to retain the engine cover to hide them...

I think they are trying to redesign the tubing or a new cover because most people won’t want to dremel the cover just for the intake. Maybe something for the front air ducts too because it doesn’t look like a finished product yet more like a diy setup.

great idea but without me asking what is going on they basically have not updated us in weeks.

So much for striking while the iron is hot

I had my reservations about this panning out, I was looking into a BMS CAI, for my 3.5 X3 BMW motor and the feedback from reviews was that it got heat soaked? It was the same open design as the C43 CAI- so I decided to save the $200

Nothing against Burger I am a big fan of their tuners, but I have purchased a lot of CAI's over the years from great companies like Vortek and AEM and they were sealed ram air type systems. I was super excited when I heard AWE was working on one but then they cancelled their plans. I really hope Burger or someone else comes out with one, unrestricted airflow is so important to a turbo motor.

Exactly, after seeing the prototype it looked unfinished. I hope they finish it off with a great fit and finish.

I 100% agree, I would not cut up my engine cover to make this fit, unless it made like 50hp extra.

I would not discount them, yet. Great products take tons of R&D to get right, and I can imagine them taking our concerns to heart (especially those of heat shield and not cutting the cover). They would probably sell better with a product that actually has fit and function over just either. This is not a cheap car that one would want to cut corners on.

Well good riddance I just could not turn down a deal on a OLED for early BF so out of this dog and pony show for the time being.

Let me know how they work if they ever get released, maybe will grab them in the spring

Intakes and data will be released at the same time, sorry for the wait but there's nothing more I can show until then.

The prototype has been thoroughly tested and we have made some changes, but nothing too wild out of the design you see now.

Engine cover is same deal, there's a reason why nobody has an intake system out. Choose performance or aesthetics, we like to be in between both.

Maybe some up and coming CF business could do a little R&D on the engine cover issue?? Would be cool.

Due to very high demand the intakes are live on the website. Now that season has slowed a bit we're able to do more testing and get some dyno results. Stay tuned and we will update the website and this thread soon.

Or perhaps just not run the engine cover- I have done this with several cars I have owned in the past and it made them run better with more power. I am sure that engine cover keep heat in the engine, so removing it helps it stay cooler. when is the last time you saw a race engine with a cover on it??? If you can live with the asthetics of not having the cover on the engine.

Waiting to see performance results and sound clips before making a purchasing decision. Glad to see they are available though. Props to them for bringing the first C43 intake to the market.

Got around 20 intakes shipped, so expect to see more photos, clips, and data soon. A bit behind on the install guide. It's sort of obvious, but hope to have a PDF on our site soon for that too.
