Hello,

Looking for some feedback.......I ordered a 19 C43 Wagon with PE exhaust. Something got mixed up in the ordering process and it came with stock exhaust. Since I’m installing downpipes, will there be a noticeable difference (sound/power) if I had the PE exhaust as opposed to the stock exhaust?

It will sound different to the AMG PE as that's a true dual exhaust with an H pipe crossover and valved silencers tuned for that great sound.
The stock exhaust is a 2 into 1 with more muffling from the rear silencers.
Ps are you ok with losing your warranty?

U have to have the PE exhaust or the car will not be the same no matter how u cut the mustard

Never buy a AMG without the PE, in fact it ought to be standard. There's nothing you can do to make a fake PE. Dealer needs to get you another vehicle.

Agree with Tirgoman and dieseldan9. Send the car back. I retrofitted my PE which was not easy.

Yep, if they messed up. They need to send your car back and either figure out how to install it at the shop or they should give you a new car with it already installed as per your order.

the facelift w/o the PE sounds better and louder than the 450. the 450 has more pops that are much more predictable.

I’m currently running PE retrofitted on my car, and I can’t say with conviction that the sound is better than without PE. Most days I try to convince myself that it’s better, after going through all the effort and expense. Haha. I do however find that the non-PE standard Sports Exhaust has a more refined, rounder, bigger and bassier sound compared to the baritone raspier noise of the PE.

However, you should insist that your car come as ordered since you wanted PE. This is only right in principle.

Do take note that PE cannot be 100% fitted like factory after the fact. Most of us are running some sort of aftermarket controller or other to make it work.
