Exclamation Best C450/C43 brakes replacment????

Hey guys, I got a C450 and I've been experiencing squeaks from the brakes and a slight grinding sensation when I leave the house for the first time in the day or after it sits for a while. I was looking into purchasing new brake pads and rotors but it doesnt seem like there are many options other than the Genuine Mercedes brand. Has anyone replaced their brakes with anything else? The OEM parts without installation are a bit over $800 which is pretty expensive. I was looking for any good aftermarket brakes, if anyone knows of any let me know please!

Side Note: Car has 38000 miles, I bought it with 36k miles.

Hey thanks for the link. So did you keep your front rotors OEM?

Yeah I kept with the stock front rotors, you can find em online much cheaper than the dealer, and put all 4 brakes with R1 concepts ceramic pads, and rear rotors from them as well.

I wish they would make front rotors bc their rear rotors are drilled and slotted and I would love to have that on the front too... (hint hint Kevin @r1)

I've got around 10k or so miles on the setup, and have 0 regrets brakes work just as good IMO. I don't track the car, and the brake dust is much more bearable now vs the stock semi metallic pads.

We do actually have the front rotors available! Since the front rotors come factory drilled only, we only offer the fronts this specific way. Feel free to PM or email me and I'll get you pricing.

Curious, is the pricing a mystery?

99% of all c43 owners have same factory front and rear brakes.

Are c450 brakes different? How much do they cost?

I'm happy with OEM discs and EBC Yellowstuff pads. You can get the OEM disks a little cheaper with some clever sourcing.

Hey do you have a C43 or C450? Anyone confirm that C43/C450 pads are the same so I can order EBC's for C450 and use them on my C43?

EBC DP42210R for Fronts
EBC DP42270R for Rears

The brake hardware is the same between C450 and C43. The only difference is the lettering on the caliper cover. I like the performance of the EBC pads but but they will dust almost as much as OEM. Stoptech and Hawk may have options now too but i haven't tried them.
I still am not sold on any of the aftermarket disc options out there. Some of them are clearly inferior and some of the others are crazy expensive for marginal gain. I have yet to find the Goldilocks option for discs.

Anyone have a part# for ebc red stuff pads for C450 on fronts? Can't find anything and the dust from the OEM pads is unbearable.

My solution to end the brake dust issue once and for all. A little extreme, but the dust issue is no longer a concern.
