After MB Update Exhaust Sound gets quiter

Hello everyone

I read all articles related to this issue, but i wasn't able to find any solution on that.

Long story short: Last week I bring my C43 to MB for service and they did also update on ECU and TCU w/t letting me know and I lost my remap due the update of the ECU.

I have downpipes and intakes and the car gets quite, I went to the mapper to do the remap again but still quite (not loud as before)

Is there a way to get my last version of ECU somehow and to give it to my mapper to do his job.

I will really appreciate if someone could really help with that.

Thanks

Nope. That is why you always tell your dealership rep/intake No ECU or TCU updates. Good luck.

Do you think it was the ECU or TCU update that affected the sound, thinking the former. Any changes in shifting behaviour you felt on the TCU?
If the ECU update really did was close off the valves a bit more than before, an exhaust valve module might help, but if it also changed the pops and bangs then a tune is required to bring it back.

I would suggest getting an EVM and see if the update only closed the valves more to make it sound more quiet.

ECU updated because wiped my remap
TCU updated because changes smoother and on S+ is drivebale like C

For sure is quiter because I go to remap it again and is not sound as before, loud changes sound when change gear dissapeared, popBangs have but overall the car is not the same

What is EVM and how I can change the % of opening of the exh valves?

What I think is to get/find old version of ECU soft and do remap again because I have even "cold start" when my car is 90C water, 95C engine and 85C trainy, which is absolutely stupid.....

EVM = Exhaust Valve Module
https://asr-component.de/gb/begin/51...-me2-c205.html

You could consider getting this first and see if the sound improves for you and just keep in mind your car learns your driving behaviour so it might take a few hundred or a thousand miles to open up again with the pops and bangs.

I believe most of the changes the update did to quiet down the exhaust is just closing the valves tighter.

As for that "cold start" you mentioned, yup that is the side effect of the update.
