I have the Uniden R3 properly configured for my state. Can find recommended configurations online. Their suction cup holder is very solid as well. I only mount the detector if I'm going outside my area and plan to have fun. Best part about the Uniden is their extremely long range. I get alerts long before the LEO is in my line of sight and it has paid for itself several times already. Saved me from a sneaky white almost unmarked CHP patrol car parked on the side of a rural highway. Only noticed the CHP sticker on the door as I was passing, but the Uniden alerted me way in advance.

Valentine 1. Had mine since March,1999. Had an issue a few years ago, sent it in and it was repaired and updated to the latest spec.
