Finally coming back to an AMG!
Finally coming back to an AMG!
I was a forum member since the late 90s early 2000s! I ve owned 3 benzes in the past and finally coming back and picking up my 17 C43 AMG tomorrow! Only problem with the car is that it does not have a spare tire or run flats! But I was going to pick up a spare tire asap. Does anyone know if a wheel from a w202 will fit my w205? Thanks for your help in advance and I am excited to be back! Couldn't get my old screenname back tho.
Agree, I agree despite being a W205 C 43 owner.
It is not a real amg, if you drive the real deal, it is a completely different experience. I picked the W205 C 43 because it is good enough power for me and it has 4MATIC for the harsh winters, it does wonders with proper snow tires.
Is it a bad car? Not at all, I love it for what it is but calling it an amg is unnecessary, MB did it to sell more and sell it at higher cost but at the same time diluting amg. That said, I am not denying the W205 C 43 has amg tuned parts but that's it.
I wish MB used a different nomenclature because I truly believe the W202 C 43 deserves to be respected as it is one of the first V8 C class vehicles.
OP, to answer your question, no the W202 wheels will not fit a W205.
Welcome back though : )

Oh yeah...I owned a 99 C43 AMG back in the day too...the w202 was a solid azz car all around...PERIOD!
Thank you! Dang! Need to keep looking for a spare! I bought the car with some 20's...non run flats! They look n fit perfect but those 295 rears are gonna steamroll something sharp. I'll have pics of my car soon...it does have a bit of cosmetics done to it.

MB sells a Tirefit kit if you don't want to go the spare route it is for other models but good to have.https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-c63s-...slime-kit.html
MB also sells a jack as well https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...055800100.html.
I don't recall W205 C 43 being sold with 20s, I am guessing they are not OEM? I am not surprised because stock 19s were prone to cracking and bending so your previous owner might had swapped it out.
You're welcome : )

Ya the spare will have to occupy trunk space unfortunately, I mean you can take apart the entire liner but not sure if that is a good idea and not sure if despite that, the spare will fit.
Found this but not a fan of the application, it ate up the entire trunk space lol. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ml#post6839519
