I can't believe these idiots do this on a busy road in daylight. Why do they never get caught? I get caught when I'm going 7 over the speed limit.

Good video but what a HORRIBLE time and location to do this kind of race at IMO.

The only thing that would have made that video better was a crossing guard and a class of first graders. Well done on dragging on a busy street

Well that was amazing. That gets my Darwin award of the day. ONE TWO THREE GO! -- Perfect timing there are cars turning right in front of you. WTF?

On a side not I think RENNtech has an amazing package for the C63. These cars have everything like a S63 but the ECU is not letting the car breath enough for the full 507 or 518 hp. A simple ecu flash makes the C63 have over 500 hp. A little more work and a 550 hp C63 is not hard to find at all. At that power level thats on amazing little 4 door car.

The difference in power from a stock C63 to one with RENNtechs ecu is amazing. Clearly MB just limited the car via the ecu and its just waiting for someone with access to the ecu to come open it up.

Worth the money IMHO!

I read somewhere that the intakes on the C63 are smaller as well.

Here (2nd paragraph): http://www.motivemag.com/pub/feature...edes_C63.shtml

And speaking of price gouging, Renntech ECU upgrade 1 costs $100 per 1 HP!

Honestly and seriously should be banned from this board - moronic beyond belief. Moderator?!

Gives all of us a bad name.

I notice you're in FL, same state in which Arjun Atwal (PGA golfer) street raced his M6 against some dude in a CLS55 who died in the process.

Modding the car is great. Opening her up on the streets -IF the situation is safe, is understandable - we've all done it. Racing anywhere but the track is beyond stupid. You are incredibly lucky that you're not wearing an orange jumpsuit, looking some family in the eye right now explaining why you killed one of their own.

And genius, between the youtube video and the board, you've posted evidence of your committing a crime along with a simple way for Miami PD to identify you. I guess at least you're consistently dumb anyway.

+1

These people racing are beyond stupid. Racing on busy street. People never learn thats its dangerous. I have a very good friend that is learning his lesson the hard way. Two months ago while doing the exact same killed a four year old child and an unborn baby who was crossing an intersection with his mother. My friend and the other guy ran a red light because at the rate of speed they were going did not have ample time to break. The child died on impact and her mother was placed in intensive care for over a month, The mother lost her child and will not have the ability to have anymore children.
Was this race even worth it? I can't imagine what this family is going through right now. My friend made a very poor judgement call that day and will now have to contend with that rest of his life as he watches his kids grow up.

LOL...that sux you get blamed.

Almost seems like a well choreographed movie scene. Can't believe the idiots were racing on a busy street.

They have two versions of the tune available I believe and they have 507 hp as their large ecu tune that is nothing more than a tune. RENNtech says amg reduces power in the car be not opening the throttle body 100% at WOT and they change that to allow for full flow. There are also fuel mapping changes and timing adjustments.

I think its an E63 motor just tuned to be a dog.

Find another tuner who makes a C63 have 505+ hp with just a tune? I should say one who wont also blow your car up like we are seeing all to often around here. Saving pennies can cost you thousands down the road.

KevinS4, how do you know the C63 blew the M6 away? Couldn't see the result on that video...I guess I was too busy looking at that pickup making the turn...

Isn't Evosport working in collaboration with Powerchip on a tune? Hopefully it will be more "cost effective." Renntech is high priced because of the name and reputation. Also, the owner used to be with AMG.

Funny how you mention Powerchips.

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...119&highlight=

Also funny how my post (which wasn't innapropriate as far as I'm concerned) was deleted. Notice how around post #20 they randomly start talking about opening up the ecu and soldering.

I absolutely agree with CynCarvin32 and his "saving pennies" comment.
