I was just told that on top of the 2 month wait for ordering a C63, there would be an additional 90 days due to CF interior and that's not to say there won't be additional delays further down the timeline....

Has anyone ordered CF interior and experienced similar delays? Should I ask around at other dealers, this was quoted by Thousands Oaks MB

Sounds about right, I've been waiting since the end of May... My delivery is in oct.

dealer in traverse city michigan has a c63 with carbon fiber and performence package , i recently passed on for a porsche 911. ask for chris ,he is agood guy, may also be discounting the car.

In light of everything I have read and seen, I am skeptical that this dealer REALLY has a car with carbon fiber trim AND a FULL performance package...

I went to the dealer today to check on my car. The GM told me the PP are pushed to January.

Also, is this the full performance package we are talking about? I want to make sure - for me the LSD and the suspension are the most important aspects - I think the steering wheel and speed delimiter were also part of the package -

WHAT! No Performance Package cars will be built till January? WTF, is this right? Someone confirm!

Called me dealer yesterday and was told my build date is still Sep. 15th.

I guess MBUSA / AMG only know. As we have seen the dealer and customers are last to know. I sure hope I am wrong, but if MB pulls this "don't tell the dealer till the customer says something trick" again I am out. This would be way to muck stupidity from one car manufacture for me.

Last update I received from my dealer was 2 weeks ago, and I was actually moved up from a November delivery to October. Hopefully it does not get delayed any more, if it does this might just be the last straw.

I don't know but it seems MB completely flopped on the US Version of the C63. I have never seen so many delays, or production problems for a car of this caliber in my life.

I am already tempted by the new CTS-V, and lately the Challenger. I know I know the Challenger is completely different than the C63, but that thing just looks so mean!

new country of ct has one being built in 3 weeks its still up for grabs i just call my sales guy it has the full performance package.

I spoke to my dealer today, he said there was no issues with my C63 perf. package car, his western rep said no delays here in Canada. He is following up by calling eastern offices see if they have heard something else.

I for one will not wait until the new year, my car was supposed to already be in production right now, with a mid/end Sept delivery date, but no one can seem to confirm if it in fact is currently being built on time, since you don't get a VIN until the car is completed.

I saw a C63 today with the carbon fiber (with sahara interior) and was not impressed. For $2500, just did not seem like a big deal. Saw a black bird eye mable right next to it which looked better in my opinion.

Yea I personally wasnt convinced about either wood or aluminum, so I got CF .... plus the weight reductions alone will be worth it...

Is there a big weight reduction from aluminum or wood? I thought it would be very small since there isn't much trim in the car to begin with.

Now if they went with carbon fiber roofs, hoods, and fenders....that would get me interested!

yea i think its true bout the 5 month wait. i went and talked to my dealer at mercedes benz of baton rouge today about my 09. i ordered pp and cf back in june and am looking at a late sept. build and late oct. delivery. he confirmed today that the order was changed to black maple and it was too late to change it. im ok with this thats what i would've chose otherwise. i just saw my first c63 last week and it had black maple. he said if i wanted the cf i could order another car but it wouldnt be here til february. and i think the wait would be like 2 months without the cf.

I ordered car about 3 weeks ago, supposedly I have a November build date in the computer so if I'm lucky by December....which is 4 months or less if im lucky
