Getting ready to ride it out here in Baton Rouge, La. Things tomorrow afternoon will be getting very interesting. I have all the basics, food, water, guns, ammo, cash. I will try to get some pics.

Thanks, but Baton Rouge is inland not on the coast like New Orleans, Houma, ect. The "Highland Road" (my front door is level with the 4th floor of the state capital) area of Baton Rouge were I live , flooding is not the problem. Our biggest problem will be down power lines, trees, no electricity in general. My back up power system is good for a week - 10 days if need be.

We shall see.

Yeah, I went through hurricane Andrew in Dade/ Broward county Fl. It was No fun, you have a choice to get out or stick it out. One reason, as you may already know after a hurricane you have many power lines down which becomes extremely dangerous to get up and run after....so good luck!

This part reminds me of us being in LA during the riots. I remember the long lines buying ammo outside of LA county. Since then, I make it a point to stock up on ammo. Take care Troy. Hope to hear from you soon with pics.

It is a Cat 3 now and the path looks to the west of New Orleans. Its likely not going to be a complete disaster but things could change. Still going to pack a serious punch.

Good to see them actually preparing this time in the big easy. Last time was a absolute joke!

Hey Troy ARE YOU OUT THERE???? I hope you didn't run out of Ammo and stay safe for dear God... Next time just buy a Tank and park it on your front lawn , should keep most people away in those parts of town.

Yes I made it. ALL the oaks in mi back yard (5) are down. My power just came back on. I have some pics and vids of storm I can post to You tube and the forum I guess. In short the city is F up big time. Lost the roof on one of my conds, and trees, trees ever were. My mother is still on generator and will be for another week. Twice a day I do generator duty to refill the 10kw generator. The good news is the city is getting it back together faster that expected. Sorry to keep it short, but I need a drink, a shower and some tv so I can get ready for IKE. BTW, I NEVER run out of ammo.
