C63 + iPhone = no address book?

I've got my iPhone paired via Bluetooth with my C63. I don't have any problems making calls. How do I get my address book/contacts from my iPhone into my car? I'd appreciate any help tremendously.

Eh, I'll just have to program the car the old fashioned way then.

Thanks but instead of tracking down a compatible phone and flashing it with the data and then uploading it I'll just put the more important numbers in for a start. Thanks though for the offer.

I still can't get my 3G Iphone to sink up with the car. The phone does not see the car and the car does not see the phone. My car see other phones, go figure.

Any ideas?

I went in under the Settings>General>Bluetooth and turned that on in the iPhone. I know you probably did that. I set the car Bluetooth to activated and then I clicked on the Update option within the Phone menu on the car. I bet you did that too. Then the iPhone did NOT sync up. It took a while and I had to hold the iPhone by a corner and move it around the center console after I got frustrated with it not pairing up. That maneuver caused it to sync up. I had sat in the car for five minutes without success though. Now that I'm connected I'm not having any problems with reconnecting each time I get into my car. I don't know why I had trouble with the initial pairing. Try it again.

He's wrong. The phone will sync, its just that the iPhone doesn't have the ability to send contacts via bluetooth.

I don't know what the deal was. It seemed touchy on proximity and direction to pair but okay after that.

Yes. I paired my brand new iPhone that I got last night with my car last night. It is absolutely a 3g iPhone and it pairs well. I just can't access the address book from it and it appears that isn't an option. I have made calls with it today using the car's Bluetooth with no problems whatsoever.

I have paired my 3G iPhone with my C63. It works like a champ. I have read on various forums that you cannot upload contacts to the car because Apple did not implement this functionality.

1) flash card, copy contact files (outlook can export them for you)... insert card, import address book
2) find cheap phone, sync it up somehow with your data, pair it with car, upload contacts - these will stick to the car, repair with iphone.
3) type away with whacky scrolly thingy.

But I've downloaded my iPhone 3G phonebook in my other cars and my parent's S class. The only pain is when it imports, it lists every number separately. Like Bill: mobil, Bill: work, Bill: Home

Makes the list super long. But it shouldn't be a problem with the knob.

Well, got it to link up. I guess the system is just very slow to find each other. It would be nice if the address book worked without all the phone switch-a-roo stuff. Anyway thanks for the help in getting the "blue teeth" to find each other.
