What did you drive before your C63?

I had an SLK 350 with a manual transmission. Wanted an SLK55 but got tired of waiting on my order and jumped on a C63 that had arrived at the dealer. No regrets at all. I wouldn't change things if I could.

You made a good choice but...

Considering the huge hp gains from the 6.2 vs the 5.4 and the increased emphasis on driver involvement, I'm curious why the SLK55 was even a consideration?

My love of skin cancer.

I liked having a convertible. Wanted more power. Given my ethnic makeup a convertible is a bad, bad idea though. Now I don't miss it.

Pleased it worked out for the best. Enjoy, but no picking on E46s at the lights.

I couldn't afford one at the time but I spent a long time lusting for an E46 M3. I saw a 330i E46 the other day in Titanium Silver. It's one of their best designs.

Thanks. I've been an M3-fanatic for many years. I initially regretted letting my Estoril E36 M3 coupe go but thankfully the E46 exceeded expectations. I just can't bring myself to part with this car, the fender flares and bulges flow better than on the E92 to my eyes (though E92 is nice but $$). The C63 of course easily outguns it and had I not upgraded my work truck and bought a new quad in the past year then it's a car I'd have loved to take a serious look at it (the wife would kill me as it is plus my bank balance would come close to disintegration).

I almost traded the E46 for an RS4 last year but in the end decided that I'm just going to keep this until the wheels fall off, especially since I bought it new while the Audi would've had miles on it.

Enjoy the C63 in good health. You may have missed out on the E46 but that 6.2 means it's been worth the wait. It's a very capable car and the sound from those quad pipes is amazing.

Actually, I had two E55's. A 2003 and then a 2006. Both really awesome cars.

Do you miss the extra room of the E55? Back seats are a little tight on leg room in our C63.

I sold the GTR-R35 for the C63, it's not really a comparible I think. The C63 definitely is more comfy and better for 4 passengers but it's not GTR's speed. But then speed is not everything.

I do miss the GTR tho ...

Need more room for the newest member of the family. Considered getting a 335xi and swapping the mods but I like the looks and raw brute power of the C63 instead.

The torque really swayed me over the M3. The exhaust note as well.

Besides the cars in my signature below, I've also been known to drive my wife a bit mental.

I am currently driving my magnificent ML63 AMG, which is sure to gather a little bit of dust for a while when my C63 arrives in a matter of days, the wait is driving me INSANE!

I added the C so I didn't have a car that it replaced. But I did have an 04 E55 that I got rid of and missed the torque, so I guess that's the car it replaced.
