Dymag + HRE = Some sweet wheels
I was going to do HRE 540R (OE black center/polished lip) but now I'm gonna wait and see what the wheel gods have dreamed up.

Only question is.... how well is the CF gonna hold up to pot holes and normal street driving? I'm assuming the CF wheels will be as reliable, if not more reliable than the "normal" HRE wheels.... ?
I had BST carbon wheels with magnesium hubs on my motorcycle back in the day (Ducati 749R.) But, that was my track bike. Was always kinda weary about riding on the street, hitting the wrong pothole, and ending up on my head.

i'm sure it would be extremely sexy in matt black finish for the Carbon series with the M40 style on a black C63! i got a quote from a singapore dealer and man.. they do have an impact on the wallet!!
Featuring a carbon fiber barrel from Dymag, and T6-6061 center from HRE joined together with titanium fasteners...the HRE Carbon Fiber Series of wheels is sure to set you apart from the rest.
With an average of 20-25% reduction in unsprung mass of the wheel this equates to improved handling and performance. Improvements in acceleration and braking performance are also seen due to the reduction of rotational inertia and unsprung mass.
All wheels are fatigue tested at load levels which surpass TUV aluminum standards.
From Alan Peltier (COO HRE Wheels)
1. Weight – We do not have a lot of weights yet, but a CF43 for a GT3RS at 19x9.0 weighs 17.2lbs and a 19x12.0 weighs 19.6lbs. We have been told this is almost exactly what a Dymag wheel weighs for the same application. The biggest wheel we’ve weighed, a CF43 in 20x12.0 for a ZR1 weighs 20.6lb. More weights to follow.
2. Passed fatigue tests to TUV specifications at a load rating sufficient for M5 and Panamera Turbo.
3. Contrary to popular myth, the carbon rims do not weigh 2 lbs. Dymag is conservative in their construction to ensure strength first and foremost and the rims typically account for 50%+ of the entire wheel weight.
4. There is a rumor that Dymag is not making centers anymore. This is not true. They will continue to sell their own branded line of wheels but HRE has an exclusive partnership with Dymag to use their rims.
5. Fitments will vary. Currently HRE is offering 19" and 20" in various widths. 18" and 22" will likely follow.
6. Finishes are standard HRE powdercoats and custom paints as well as brush/cl or pol/cl. No chrome. No full polish.
7. HRE is well aware of leaking issues and worked with Dymag on the carbon barrels to ensure that leakage at the bead was solved and designed the centers to minimize any chance of leakage through the fasteners in addition to the changes made by Dymag to resolve this issue. It shouldn’t be a concern for an HRE or a current Dymag.
