Jack for C63
TIA

I am using aluminum jack 1.5t from COSTCO
It needs to be positioned precisely not to damage plastic bottom cover.

My assumption was that jacks are rated the according to the weight that they can handle when you lift the car on one side. So, that means 1.5 rated jack is not enough for a 1.7 ton car.

Jack rated for max lifted weight 1.5 tons which is more than enough.

how are you jacking the car up - Im assuming the jack you guys are getting does not fit into the jack point on our cars. Are you just using the jack in that particular area in fron of the rea wheel?

I guess MB figures most customers wont ever even attempt to swap wheels or fix a flat with roadside available.
They should however equip AMG cars with better jacks.

If someone could post a photo of the bottom of one of our cars with safe places to place a jack, I would really appreciate it.

In the front there is generally a heavy cross member that runs under or slightly in front of the engine. If you look under the C63 there is a front splash panel and one under the engine. In between the two you will find a circle formed into the two panels and in it a plastic bump. This is the location for the front jack point and the bump is there for protection of the frame and is replaceable. Your jack should have a rubber pad on the cup. Try to center this pad under the plastic bump.
In the rear I generally jack under the center rear edge of the differential housing. I have never had a problem lifting the rear of the vehicle this way even if it has a vented lower side on the differential like our R Class does. I do have a rubber pad on the lifting cup on my jack and it avoids any damage that would occur from any metal to metal contact.

Is it possible you could perhaps hightlight/circle the area where I should be jacking? Here is a picture I found of the underbody.

But I also really don't want 70K car to fall because of my stupidity.
