MCT and DI
Guys ..
When is MCT and DI going to be released in C63?? any chance it will be in 2010 model or most likely 2011 model? im tossing between Cayman S PDK or C63 ?
2011 is another 1.5 year of wait.....
whats your opinion? keep waiting or get Porsche DI/PDK first?

since I am already waiting for a 2010, I am tempted to wait another year for the 2011. That is a really long *** time though. MCT interests me more than the DI, unless the DI comes with a power bump like the porsches did.

So far all MB DI powerplants have shown a power "bump" and better gas mileage.I believe the new 2010 E63 will have around 525 hp with DI.

Was the W203 refreshed, or did it stay the same throughout?
I know the current E class (not the 2010) was refreshed with new headlights and such part way through the model. BMW always does it in the 4th year.

MB always does a facelift as for the baby benz they did it for the 190 series W201 and the W202,W203 and probably in the summer of 2011 (MY2012) for the W204 which should help sales against the new model 3 series slated for 2012.

The original w203 AMG, the C32, had a 3 MY lifecycle (2002 - 2004). Its w203 AMG replacement, the C55, had a two MY lifecycle (2005 - 2006).
Given the C Class AMG precident, I actually wonder a bit if the C63 will ever get the MCT and/or DI, only because its replacement (C35 AMG perhaps?) will probably be a 2012ish MY vehicle. Maybe the last MY of the C63 will have a Black Series variant, with DI and MCT to boot? That'd be a nice offering...

Direct Injection -- I'm skeptical after reading about problems with DI on the RS4 engine (as well as other engines -- not good)
This stuff is eye-opening and a must-read for anyone interested in DI:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=258516
I don't think the new E63 is coming out with DI, is it? MB is probably still working out the "law of unintended consequences" (see above link
)
As far as MCT, well, just read the SL63 forum. MB is still working out the bugs on that too.
If you want something fast, solid, reliable and with proven technology, it's the C63 in current form.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

The question is: would you trade reliability of current V8 with DI and related problems and insignificant power increase?
