Question Final verdict on P30?

Sorry if this question has been asked multiple times over but the search function yielded little result.

I'm considering changing my 2007 CLS63 for a 2009 C63 and the only item I am still in doubt about is the performance package P30. No argument against the LSD and upgraded brakes but my concern is the suspension.

I live in Poland and the roads are notoriously bad. Pot holes, cracked asphalt you name it we got it. In other words a rock hard suspension will provide a very crashy ride and I will probably be peeing blood

Unfortunately there are no C63 with the PP option in Poland at the moment so there is no way for me to test it. Can anyone provide some insight? Good / bad experiences on less than optimal road surfaces?

I plan on going with the Kleemann K2 package and will be doing a bit of weekend tracking but 95% use will be as a daily driver.

Thanks

Ken

I live in Edmonton, Alberta and I guarantee we have worst roads. Its fine. Its a sports car its not suppose to float over the bumps. Get the Performance its the win.

I have had people comment on how nice it drives over the bad roads for a sports car.

I actually wonder how the P30 package compares to a pure aftermarket solution, ie: Quaife LSD, Blisten shocks and a ECU tune removing the limiter.

Thanks Merc63. Still trying to get my hands on a test car with the PP but apparently there is not a single test car available in the country.

I assume the LSD also helps with traction? Or am I wrong?

I was told all my local dealerships dont bring in any cars with performance package because no one wants to spend the extra 4k on it. You're spending 80k on a car, whats 4k more... really.

The LSD will help with powering out of corners. This car is a drifting machine it loves to go sideways.

My thinking, too.
And esp if you get adjustable coilovers (PSS-10)
I have PSS-10s on my P-car; a huge advantage, imho. Just turn the knob for street or track....

The 030 PP is actually a pretty good deal. While you could improve on it by going with aftermarket tune (raised top speed limit), quaife LSD, adjustable coilovers (KW or Bilstein), etc, it will cost you a lot more $. I would guestimate that you would spend $8K+ going aftermarket. The two piece front brake rotors alone will set you back $2K from the dealer in the US. I'm glad I got mine with the 030 package. Don't order the car without it.

P30

Thought I would try to weigh in on this with an unbiased perspective. I own a 2009 P30 c63. The reason I ordered a P30 was to avoid the aftermaked headache of the ls diff. That was all I really wanted (though I do get a lot of compliments on the brakes). Having owned many modified cars including a 996tt, supra tt, and GT500 (719 whp, currently still own), I can tell you that not only does resale suffer, but you won't get a penny back of the money spent modifying. A stock car is worth more. This also swayed me to ordering the p30. That being said, I had mercedes switch the p30 springs to non p30 c63 springs last week. I wanted to like the p30 springs, but in the end I absolutely could not live with them on a dd. Going down a bumpy road on the cell phone with the p30 springs would cause my voice box to vibrate to the point of not being able to have a conversation. Maybe its because I live in the city. Whatever the reason, it was the best $900 I spent in a while. The difference is significant. My $.02.

Thanks for the valuable input JTK3. I live in Warsaw which is probably sporting the worst roads in Europe. I will try to talk to Mercedes here to see if they can deliver the P30 package with standard springs.
