Taking on the Arch nemesis E90/E92 M3

no i dint get a chance to race one with a chip i would love to.
as far a e60 m5 my friend has one. its more like my car then his i take it to service i put 2/3 of the miles on the car and i have a spear key as well.
trust me the only place the m5 can beat a [B]STOCK[B] c63 is over 100mhp.
stock to stock c63 vs m5 0-100 c63 2-3 cars in front 100 plus the m5 walk away 2-3 cars and keeps going.
as far as my car how it is now, from 0-100 is like 5 cars and 100 plus like 3-4 ill be fair and give it that much. but i can tell you thats smg3 is no joke. and i love that car.

Smoked? Probably not, here's the ET and trap from a 335I with just a tune and DR's.
http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW-335i-Timeslip-18138.html
11.78 @ 119MPH. He trapped 121MPH in another run.
FYI those turbo's are too small to blow that motor, lol.
Is the same "Q" that is friends with Darren and Scott in DFW?

In the end, he got what he wanted with the HPF kit, that's all that matters, and he's done very well with it. Darren is a good guy as well, I like what he's done with his M5 and the comparo runs he shoots. I haven't seen any vids from him for awhile though.
On 91 or "street tune" that 335I traps around 116, tires wouldn't matter from a rolling start and only enabled him to hit the 11.78, his trap would not change, but I suspect after 125 or so even a stock C63 would start to walk away, but his car is faster then even most full bolt on 335I's, lol, so I would say a modded C63 would take most modded 335I's, especially up top where those tiny turbo's just run out of air.
Don't you have a 997tt? Any plans for that?

Well here was the scenario. We ran just past Giant Stadium (Favorite home of the East Rutherford Police & Bergen County Police) all the way towards that bridge in Seacaucus almost midway. At that point I was about 120/125 and a CL ahead and pulling. At this point I left off the gas and braked cause I didn't want to test my luck. Also I saw some light traffic ahead. It was clear to both him and I my car was faster. In fact funny as we lined up for a second run we went passed a marked Seacaucus Dodge Charger hanging out in the medium! Luckily this guy wasn't doing radar as my V1 gave no warning but I would certainly been slapped with a nice ticket or two! I told the guy then forget it I aint going for another run. It was 12:30AM already and he was getting off his exit anyways. Those of you who don't know RT3 in that area is a cop haven.
The one thing the guy did say after our run was "Damm man that thing is fast." His car did sound nasty I couldn't imagine it was stocked. He had an aftermarket HID kit but again I aint saying he did anything under the hood. Unfortunately the thought of "Jeez the boys on Mbworld would want to know if he was modded or not".

His new M is not as quick as a boosted E46
I have had the experience of racing a boosted E46 and it was a great race, with him edgeing me out a few car's in the end. They respond well to mods.
I have only had one M5 *Modded encounter and we were dead even to 160

I'm not in DFW, but Scott and I are friends via the forums, but I remember you posting on M3forum, M5board, during that situation when Scott's car wasn't performing as it should with the supercharger, and he ran your M5 and didn't do so well, etc.

2009 C63
they really need to get MCT in the C63 and the conversation is over imo...Im a former M3 owner and loved SMG. Not saying Ill never go back, but the M3 cant handle the C63's power AND MCT no matter how well it handles.

I think after a few drinks I can justify taking the money out of my HSBC savings account and bust out the Kleemann ECU....That would almost guarantee any non-force induction/stroker M3 = FAIL

I agree I think a modded C63 will take my car as well, but I would love to run one, stock or modded, just to see. I haven't seen too many in Socal I saw a few at the socal euro event yesterday, and they really are good looking cars, and very fast with just simple bolt ones.
If anyone in socal interested in doing a friendly comparo? PM me if anyone is up for it.

The M3's come in a stick and you will never get that connection with the road in a C63 that you get in an E92 even though the C63 is faster. My mom can drive paddle shifts in the C63. It doesn't require that much skill at all. These days cars are so computerized with launch shifts fancy trannys with the quick shifts etc....thats fine and stuff but less fun in. I also hate SMG so I am not just bashing Benzes.

i raced a manual m3 (the current one) several times, we went from 60km/h from 100km/h and from 20km/h. Honestly it was no match for me. from down low i left the bmw worst then from 100km/h. but from 100 to 200km/h i was a good 2 cars a head if not more and from 20km/h maybe double?

This is completely off topic from my OP. This thread isn't a discussion on which car is better, its about how C63 owners faired against racing the new E90/E92 M3.

Can someone take DLSJ5 up on his offer? It be interesting to see the result. DLSJ5 I respect your class you have with your posts in regards to the whole topic. I post much more frequently on M3post.com but I can tell I ruffle the "fanboys" over there when I post because I am a C63 owner even though I never made one single post smearing the M3. People should read the E55 Vs M3 thread that had to be closed by the mods over there. Unbelievable the denial from some clowns who clearly couldn't accept the E55 was faster. When I mentioned the E55 had the same power ratings as the other V8 compressor engines I was accused of conspiring with MB. I even referenced a few threads on this forum with dyno graphs to prove my point, but of course the fanboys were already to drunk on the koolaid.

I'd like to run a stock one or one with less mods, but then again I have all the bolt ons, except a muffler, so that's not the fairest comparo. I will be sure to post up the vids here, win or lose, most likely the latter, lol.
I also have a good friend who posts here, MaxH, with a very healthy stock E55, we're gonna do some runs as well.

I would tend to agree. The M3 boys seem more hostile, and have that "know-it-all" attitude.
Mind you, this is a generalization. There are obviously great members that contribute quite a bit.
I find the older the fan-base (read...more expensive the car), the more reasonable they seem to be, and are less prone to testosterone driven outbursts...
