The 12.07 @117.86 was run by a C63 with Evosoprt(powerchip) tune , exhaust and a Kleeman manifold. Hopefully he will chime in
The Silver Dragon ran a 12.1 @117.x both C63's were traction limited due to moisture in the track.
Phil piloted an ECU tune only car in stock trim with a suit hanging in the back to a 12.4@115

Yeah, I was a little surprised too. But I just couldn't get it to hook up with the new contis I have. I tried a lot of different launches, but they just wouldn't stick. (sadface) Part of the problem was that it was my first time at the track and I was way too excited and just kept flattening the fast pedal. I wish I could have been able to roll into it more. I think I would have done a lot better. I did manage get a 1.82 60', tho.
But huge (HUGE) ups to Mac for that 12.07! That's a great time.
Next time we're both coming with drag tires and we should knock some serious time off our ETs.
Also, I had a great time. The MB and BMW community are such a bunch of great guys. Big thanks to RARFinancial for the gas at the end of the day. I doubt I would have made it back to the Chevron with out it, let alone been able to run a couple more passes! Everyone was really generous and easygoing and made it a really fun (if not a little frustrating in the car) time.
Juicee, it was good to meet you and I appreciate the launch tips. I wish I could have calmed down and made better use of them, lol. Good stuff amigo. Good stuff.
Lastly, thanks again to MB Forever for taking the effort to get us all coordinated and being so helpful throughout the day. A big gold star for you, buddy!
Josh.

It is not easy and conditions were not as good as we had hoped(traction) although your 1.82 short time is great!
Id like to get a day going with , another German steel event . I really thought this group for as diverse as it was , spectacular.
I see you and Mac having some classic door to door runs and I wanna be there to see it.
I think I have a great Video of you vs Hooley SC C55 vs C63, let me take a look.
Phil : cut the best light at the tree a .007. Phil keep at it man, take the sport coat out , LOL
Great meeting you Josh, I should remember your name quite easily

Man what a day. I still can't get over how much fun I had. It was a little adrenaline rush every time I lined up on the track. Plus there were so many sick cars that were fun to watch race. And my brain is still vibrating from that goddamned Jeep.
Josh #1- thanks again for all of your pointers, my time definitely wouldn't have improved that much if you hadn't been there to help me out.
Josh #2- I had a great time running with you, it was pretty neck and neck all day. I got my best run around 4:40 and left immediately after that, so I have no doubt that if you had stuck around you could've shaved a few more tenths; there is no doubt in my mind that your car is in fact faster than mine is, not to mention how sick it looks.
Come to think of it, there are too many people for me to list. It was nice to meet all of you, you're all great guys and I can't wait to do hopefully do this again within the next few months.
My time slip from my best run is down in the car, I'll go grab it in a little, take a pic and post it.

If the DA was -700 at Famoso, they'd be well into the 11's and 120+ traps. Famoso, unless the DA is minus, is not kind to NA cars, at least in the tons of track days I've seen, if the event were held at Sacramento raceway we probably wouldn't be having this discussion about their trap speeds, which I totally agree with you, are not indicative of how fast these cars really are.
BTW what track is fast in the summer Bro? I'm pretty sure Etown and Atco are not known as slow tracks.

At Etown or Atco, Josh, and Mac both would have trapped 120+. 11's would have been much easier to hit, including myself.

etown is slower by 2-3 mph then atco and about 4tenth of a sec. this i know for sure i have over 50 passes and slips in both tracks. even sameday passes.
and for the last one, no tracks are faster in summer then winter. i was just saying that i ran a 12.0 in 90F at 117 with a halfa$$ tune. NO HEADERS at etown.

I am very sure your car would have hit 11s yesterday had traction been better. I'm still amazed at how your car hit 12 flats given the conditions. The track was slippery due to the rain at 4 to 6 am. But it turns out DA did not pass 480 all day long. In fact, from 4 to 6 pm, DA dropped from 378 to 165 ft. So although air may have been good, translating the engine power to the ground was not a fun process.
I can't wait to see your car run at Sacramento

CONGRATS!!!
Looks like the weather was great! A high of 55. WOW!
Wish we could get some of that down here in sunny Florida.
At noon the DA was less than 300 at Famoso so you had some great conditions.
Did Rarefinancial run?? He was supposed to have the new Kleeman throttle bodies? Still looking for a few more HP.
I am sure with better traction you'll both be in the 11's!

Gotta admit I was a little bummed about not hitting a bit higher trap or the 11.9, the stock DCT hit a best of 111MPH so it makes sense, regardless I had a blast, got a solid time, can't wait to do it again, bunch of awesome cars and great guys, thanks again Brotha!

Never said Etown was faster or slower than Atco, but to say that it's a slow track is wrong based on what I've seen and know from many guys that have ran at that track, M3's, S4's, etc. It's pretty common knowledge both of those tracks can be fast, their results have always been very good in comparison to other tracks around the country, when the air is good of course.
117MPH traps with a half *** tune, no headers in 90F? And that's a slow track? Recently you hit a great time/trap of 11.8 at 119, in 40 degree temps, the DA was probably below sea level I'm guessing? We rarely if ever get those conditions here, and that's completely relevant to ET's and Traps.
Regardless there were plenty of cars there to compare, 3 C63's, all running below what they would at faster tracks, if it matters that much to them then they need to do some runs at Sacramento which is more on par with Etown, Atco, or MIR on the East Coast, all known to be fast tracks.

my trap with halfass tune was run on mickeytoms tires and i had all the grip i can get. when i went to the track last month and ran a 11.8 at 119 i had BALD street tires.
the bottom line is that our etown is your guys famosa. and atco i belive its the 2nd fastest track in u.s soil and mir #1.
