Thumbs down Why the SPAM?

A negative thread regarding an MBW sponsor was started recently, some things said customer vs. vendor, the vendor (eloquently, I might add) stated their case and it all was subsequently locked by a mod/admin. Happens from time to time, and appeared to be appropriately handled by all parties.

Most people had nothing but good things to say about the sponsor while the thread was open, and appear willing to dismiss the whole thing. So why is the same vendor now spamming the hell out of this subforum to bury the thread into oblivion? It's painfully obvious, when that individual has the most recent post in 90% of the open threads on the first page of the subforum - most of which are no more than a couple-world-long postings, made after the other thread was locked.

Taking a "damage control" course of action lends more credence to the client's position in the aforementioned thread than just ignoring it and moving on, IMHO.

/rant.

Yeah, how do you get away with this? He’s pushed most of the current threads to the second page and brought forward old tired ones with useless short sentence contributions.

It’s a complete disregard for the forum members.

Now I think badly about a sponsor I don’t even know. It also means I no-longer trust or have faith in his input to the forum.

I, too, saw this and was thinking the same thing. Why bump up a page full of posts from a few days ago with short, inconsequential responses--other than the aforementioned reason of "hiding" a certain thread by bumping up every single thread in this subforum?

Ahahaha... I just noticed that too. I was wondering why the first page was filled with week old threads. Seems odd that they're trying to hide a closed thread that everyone seemed to side with them on anyway.

Here is the situation guys...This is a very interesting and gut wrenching situation for me. It might not have been the greatest move to spam the board, however, based on current moderation and it's policies, (suspend/remove the thread until after the holidays, and our attorney was in contact) I was forced into this position. Our company is being wrongly accused of some serious things, in fact the main thing being criminal. We are not criminals, and even with this being said, moderation was going to allow this troll to have his first post be a bash thread, with nothing to contribute to the forum whatsoever.

Our attorney is working on this situation very vigorously, however at this point in the holidays, I did not want to have to keep taking time away from my family to deal with this, so I had to spam the board to push it back to the second page, so I would not have to deal with it until I got back to the office, on Monday but it has caused a few waves here, and I SINCERELY apologize.

The moderator took the time to lock the thread and I agree, as a one off post with malicious intent it would have been just as easy to delete it. I know on many forums the OP would have been suspended for that approach. Still your action was poor as it did nothing to hide the post, in fact it highlighted the thread and did so at the expense of forum members. Again on most forums that type of spamming would have also incurred a suspension. I’m not able to judge on it content, it did seem to me to have inconsistencies but right or wrong, your comeback did give him what he wanted, to be noticed. His was a cowardly act and I sympathise with you and hope you get it sorted.
