Any gains in power? The reason I ask is I heard that the C63 exhausts are made by Eisenmann already so...

 

To be honest, gains will be minimal...it will be the same as any other aftermarket exhaust. People buy it mostly because of the sound

 

+1, for instance kleemann or supersprint sounds are more hard than this.

 

Imagine how many you would sell if they were $800...

Absolutely impossible to justify $3000 and virtually no gains

 

callmiro: I agree with you but I doubt that VividRacing are putting a high tag on them. Your post should be addressed to the manufacturer.

2 Vivid Racing: Do you know what weight gains are expected with this set up?

 

My post is directed to the supplier who can give feedback to the manufacturer.......everyone makes a cut on $3000 mufflers

 

Not to take away from the beauty of this system but
3K for a catback exhaust system with virtually no gains
in HP is

Man, I miss the Mustang days when a catback exhaust
cost $350, an X-Pipe cost $200, and headers cost $400.

 

Exactly.... and you could get all installed in 2 hours for $200 bucks


gimme some MAC long tube headers and some 2 chamber flow masters

Actually this setup weighed less then my stock setup. I don't know about the c63z tho. The difference in sound for my e55 was worth every penny. Car makes barely any exhaust sound stock.

Now I can turn on car alarms at full throttle lol.

 

To everyones point on this thread, and not to take it over, but this is precisely why I choose not to mod this car - no way, no how, will I ever pay more than $300 for someone to flash my ECU with a generic map. No way, no how, will I ever pay for than $500 for a generic exhaust or set of headers. The pricing for these cars is not just insane, its insulting.

 

i agree w/ what everybodys saying, prices being ridiculous and what not...but how many of you have changed tires on your previous cars after 5-7k miles of "normal" driving?

i wish there was a way to boycott modding until the prices came down, but that wont ever happen...so its juss gotta be part of the territory i guess...and as the kids say: you gotta pay to play

THis is the same company that faked exhausts from eisenmann, theyre a korean exhaust and they break. I have a faked eisenmann "miestershaft" exhaust for a m3 e46 right here in my house a korean exhaust w a german name marketed as a eisenmann product from a eisenmann exclusive distributor. With both broken baffles and broken welds on the hangers. I will have my day in court. That company GTHAUS are a bunch of thieves... BEWARE

 

wow, yeah that's right I forgot about the fraud that Eisenhaus aka (GTHaus) did against the REAL Eisenmann Germany, that was a really BAD/unethical thing to do, and they burned a LOT of BMW owners with fake counterfeit product made in Korea (I believe the same factory that builds all the JIC/CROSS parts, I think the company name is KIC Korea Inter Cross http://www.tradekorea.com/company-de...S_CO__LTD.html) NOT Germany but still badged as "German made genuine Eisenmann".

I think this is a discussion to be placed on it's own, and not on Vivid's thread, they are just trying to sell off 1 last exhaust

You also noticed that I should open another thread for this discussion. Good for you maybe one day you should seek a job as a moderator. But your a sponsor, not a mod. So why dont you the mods do their job or you can go and open a new forum if you like.

I am no one to judge another sponsor, it is not my job. I am not a moderator either, I do not have any power here in this regards. I do believe this is the wrong place to try and hammer this situation out. I have no alliance or allegiance to any other sponsor here, I am merely saying that we should respect his right to sell his product weather we agree with the product or company. HOWEVER you have every right to voice your opinions, and experiences with a product, which you did very very well. I am not protecting him, Eisenhaus, GThaus, or otherwise, TRUST ME if I was I would not have bothered to post a single thing...or the gory details that I know..Sorry if you got burned on your exhaust, that really sucks, and I too would be VERY angry and want to do something about it, but I can say that our company does not/will NEVER sell a product we don't 100% believe in, and have tested ourselves, hence why we DON'T/never will sell Meistershaft/GThaus stuff.
