You will definitely see more gain by losing the secondary cat. I do not suggest removing the resonator because the stock resonator has the crossover pipe integrated into it. That crossover balances the two banks. Just my suggestion.

I second the secondary cats removal. Removing the resonator will be obnoxiously loud. No offense, Keith.

No Offense taken. Trust me, when I'm not at the track the stock resonators and exhaust goes right back on. Takes about 1/2 hour to exchange out.

Do you have a lift at home? That would be awesome!

Nope, back it up on ramps here at the office and can change it in 30 minutes. Since it bolts on its really very simple with hand tools.

If you have K2, why not take off both cats and leave in the resonator? This is essentially what most folks would have running the LT headers right? I assume with the K2 programming you'll pass emissions tests either way...and without the program, you'd fail either way. Why not go for the extra horsepower?

Can you pass emissions with cat deletes? Even though no CEL, I still would think the emissions folks will know you don't have cats and fail the vehicle...not that it takes much to reinstall for an annual thing...

I've been told if I'm in a state where the emissions test is the OBDII test, passing emissions should be no problem with a Kleeman tune and cat delete. The secondary O2 sensors need to be plugged in for the ECU to see a signal, but it won't matter what the signal reads.
