ECU FLASH

I just had my B1 service done. I need to know if it affected my tune. How do I find out? Do I need to get it dyno'd?

You really should feel it if it was a reputable tune.
I know that when I got mine, I could feel the difference in overall response and power delivery especially passed 4K rpm

Thanks for the reply but it did not really answer my question. I had a tune done about 6 months ago. My car was very strong. I just had my B1 service done about 2 days ago. Can the B1 service affect my tune any?

A standard B1 should not affect your tune...

It's hard to say if the car gets flashed when it goes in for service. If the technician connects it to star, it may alert him/her that there is a new software upgrade for the car, but unless they do it, it does not get pushed onto the car. Some technicians automatically update the car with latest software and some don't. A good way to know for sure is to dyno the car and see if it makes the power. Another way is to try to take the car to high speeds to see if your top-speed limiter is still active.

An oil/filter change and a bunch of engine "checks" wouldn't affect an ecu flash tune unless they hook it up to the Star Diagnostic Tool and reflash your ecu, which would be clearly stated on your service paperwork.

The problem is that even when the car goes in for a simple oil change, some dealers/technicians automatically plug it into the STAR system and some don't. They usually like to do that when the car is under warranty so that they can tag on some more repairs and bill MBUSA.
