Would love to see any more data, even speculation, on different tire brand weights.... Also your thoughts on the weight difference of 235 fronts vs 245s and 255 vs 265 vs 275 rears would be.... worth the tradeoff for straight-line traction? Anyone own a tire shop?

2009 C300 4Matic Sport P2/MM/Steel Gray
I almost bought the exact same wheels for my steel gray C300 a few months back, but I know nothing about wheels/tires, offsets, and all that stuff. Anybody know if the C300 4Matic can use the same offsets as the C63? Or the same offsets/tire sizes superlubricity used?

Thanks. The color looks much more like "real life" in that photo. Better lighting today.
Very cool.
Yes, exactly. If you are only going to run a 275-wide tire, why not do it on a 9.5" wheel where it fits perfectly, saves you some weight and can be run with the proper offset.
Awesome.
Mine came with the wheels. One of the four boxes contained the four rings and center caps.

Thanks so much for all of your very helpful and detailed info on your Forgestar wheel purchase. I am happy owner (as of last week) of a 2011 E63 and am thinking about ordering a set of 18" F14s in the same width and offset to match the stock 18 inch specs (rim size and offset) to use as my winter wheel and tire set. I am thinking about that now because of the lead time I have read about in receiving a Forgestar order.
I had a couple of specific questions for you that I know were addressed in your posts but wanted to make sure I got the info right before proceeding.
1. It is clear you need to purchase cone seat bolts with these rims. How did you know what size of bolt to get? Did the Forgestar dealer tell you? I saw your link as to where to purchase the bolts - which is helpful.
2. Do you need a hubcentric ring if you have matched the offset of the stock wheels exactly? If so, they presumably slide on and off when you mount the wheels for winter and dismount them for spring?
3. Your great photos of the inside of the rims showed the size stamped on each. How do you know that you got the right offset on your order as well - is that marked somewhere on the wheels? Obviously, you hope Forgestar got it right.
4. Anything else to consider when ordering a set of the F14s?
I saw from later posts that you ordered a second set in the Titanium finish - so I presume you have been happy with them.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I researched it online and made a decision based on my findings.

If so, they presumably slide on and off when you mount the wheels for winter and dismount them for spring? The hubcentric ring is not related to offset. You need to run the included rings or an equitable alternative. The poly carbon ones that are provided are holding up fine and come right off when dismounting the wheels.

4. Anything else to consider when ordering a set of the F14s?They took some weight and fine tuning to get balanced to zero. Go to a trustworthy shop with the right equipment.

Superlubricity,
First off sir, beautiful car and awesome write up. Very informative.
I actually drive a Boxster and stumbled upon this thread via google, while trying to find more info about the Forgestars. They look fantastic on your car, btw! Just a quick question if I may; where/what is ACGSD? May I have a website or some contact info for them please? I'm sold on these wheels and just looking for a good person to purchase through. Thanks in advance for your help!
All the best,
-ian

Just got confirmation from Peter that my wheels will be here on Thursday in time to mount up the R888's for Sebring this weekend!
BTW someone asked about the weights for the Toyos
245/40 =26.8 lbs
275/35 = 27.4 lbs

It's funny the gunmetal F14s are almost 100% identical too palladium silver when I hold see them side by side, just for those not sure how light or dark they are. It is more towards the lighter side of what I see in photos.

Don't worry about the speedo, it'll only be off, w/ 275, about 2 mph at 70. I'm running 285 drag radials on stock rims, nitto nt555r, clocked a 4.9 on a 5.0 mile marker speedo check on the interstate. So, you'll be going slightly faster than your speedo reads.
