List of LTH (Long Tube Headers) Manufacturers for C63?
#128
What debate? I see one brand of longtube setting track records 1/4 and 1 mile, which mean more to me than any kind of data IMO. The same brand also leads in GPS/VBOX testing, and backs it up with a dozen or more customers dynoing at their own test site. At this point I think the time for a challenge is over, the results are in and supplemental data continues to back the initial findings. To even consider a Kleemann log manifold vs a true longtube is doing yourself a huge injustice. What is the goal of your car?

I'm doing my last Kleeman K1 dyno on Sat, after installing some carbonio foam filters and cleaning the MAF...then it's on to MHP LTs, with data, dyno/1/4 mile in about a month!

Suggestions that might help with cold start

- Start the car with the garage door closed.
- Stuff huge sponges in each exhaust tip to muffle the sound at startup.
- Simply never shut the car off.

Will see how it goes. I guess payback is in order for their barking dog and for them running lawnmower early in the am on the weekends. Payback is a ***** isn't it!

- Start the car with the garage door closed. - will work except for weakening the foundation of the house
- Stuff huge sponges in each exhaust tip to muffle the sound at startup. - Kaboom!
- Simply never shut the car off. - not an option at $8.00/gallon

I would condition the dog/master by aiming the rear of the car at the dog and revving it hard everytime it barks.

I think this is one of the best threads on this site with out any debates. Every one agrees MHP so far holds all records. MBH soon will be able to back this up (unless they have but i havent seen any figures yet) and I will add to that list in the next couple of weeks. I think for all c63s this has been a very healthy discussion and alot of good info out there.

None fast enough!
FYI, we dropped the Supersprint line due to countless warranty issues and the way they were handled (or in reality NOT handled) about 4-5 years ago. YMMV.

It was not on this car, but the issues were cracking pipes, o2 bungs breaking off, etc. Then the US distributor not reimbursing us for any of the warranty work to fix the problems (and it was seemingly a problem with a large % of the production run).
That episode was what drove us to start making our own headers.
It was pretty well documented on some BMW forums back then.
thanks
