It didn't say if the GT-R was stock. If it is- it will destroy it with a simple tune. I don't see Lexus selling many of the LF-A.

To be honest I don't like the LF-A because its like a techno-ferrari but I don't think you can measure a car's performance just in a straight line

On the Nurburgring the Nissan was 3 seconds slower (7:27 and the LF-A 7:24).

In addition, the Lexus' price is so high because of the limited availability - as far as I know, all of the 500 LF-As were sold out and a GT-R can be bought at almost any Nissan dealership.

Don't get me wrong I would still rather get the Nissan GT-R V-Spec

The LFA was built simply to boost sales of the IS and GS line. Lexus just introduced an in-house tuner division with performance upgrades sold and installed at the dealerships.

+1 I wouldn't spend 400K for a Lexus. I rather buy a Lambo Murcielago roaster.

I rather have GT-R as well. But, the LFA sold 500 already. They must have love the gadgets, design, and the sound.

the lfa is not sold to average rich *** billy joe, Lexus has strict requirments you need to surpass before dumping 400k+ on the lfa, must go to events, and have certain amounts of track time etc..

of course we would all get the gt-r instead, but the individuals who are buying the LF-As arent exactly fretting over 400k...as pointed out above they gotta be enthusiasts in some form but what 400k is to them isn't the same to you and me

I agree... but disagree.

Yes anyone in the market for a 400K car doesnt mind spending the money. They will mind though when they spend 400K on a car that a 80K car can beat.

You think someone who can buy this car is gonna say "Ohh well, im rich so who cares" No way. Their gonna say "WTF, I just gave you 400K and this punk kid with a mohawk and a giant wing on the back of his car just beat me. Take this car and shove it up your ***" At least thats what I would do...

agree w/ you as well - maybe i just have a strange perception of those who can blow 400k on a car - kind of like our cars getting beat by a 10-second civic beating, ok sure, but that guy is still driving a civic - kind of, sort of

Once you get to a certain level of car, it really doesn't become a matter of who can beat whom, but rather the selfish pleasure of driving the car.
Of course a car of this price has to have a certain level of performance criteria. And it isn't all about quarter mile times or short track events.
If an Evo met up with an LFA on the highway, the Evo would get destroyed.
What's the top speed of an Evo? Top speed for the LFA?

That makes no sense. Who buys this cars could care less if an INFERIOR vehicle beats it. I have friends with Carrera GTs and 599s that dont give a **** if a 90k Nissan with some mods tries to race them on the freeway and beats them. The pure pleasure of driving a car of that magnitude with so much detail and craftmanship put into it it's an ownage to anything much much below their level. BTW I could care less for either of this 2 cars. However, if I had the money and had my 50 car garage w/ all my european dream cars, then maybe just maybe I would consider getting the LF-A if I was bored.

Imagine walking in a room filled with people while wearing $500 Fendi shoes besides a person wearing shoes from Aldo (let's say better looking or more comfortable than your pair) priced less than a $100. Some people will envy your shoes, while others will feel like you blew your money whereas you could have had the same comfort/etc. for a much lesser price. Would you feel any lower to the person who has better looking shoes for twenty percent of the price you paid for yours? I wouldn't. Just a scenario =)

Like soldier said, it's about craftsmanship. You might pick a GTR over an LFA, but the honest truth is that the LFA will turn a dozen more heads. Anyone that has 400k laying for a vehicle probably knows what he/she's getting into. The price of that vehicle well makes up for the lack of power in comparison to other cars. Though I'm not a fan, I would definitely get the LFA over the GTR.

Never thought of that way but your point does make sense, so is Militia's. Once you have that kind of money you wouldn't care about any other cars below your level. To be honest, if I do have 400K I would have picked other cars in that region. But that's another subject...

Well they're doing a good job cause there's couple of people I know in Shanghai order this car. It is definitely going to turn a lot of heads in that mega city.

You need to do this this this and this before getting one....Come one. Its there first supercar and they want to restrict who can buy. Its $400,000 Toyota.
