10k trunk money released for 2010 c63

10' C63, 99' 4Runner 250K miles!
Thanks for the advice, I placed a down payment on a new 2010 C63 (040/201/P02/318/320/318/320/889). I have a couple of days to wire the balance or get cold feet and have my down payment refunded. The price is 57K. This was over the phone and I haven't even seen the car, but it's on the show room and has less than 100 miles.

I just bought a 2010 C63 and got 10k off without even arguing. The trunk money was 5k and they were willing to take another 5k off of their money.

They might not have titled it, but on your contract it will show used
and warranty might be less now

It is new. The salesman talked about discounts on vehicles that have been "punched". This has not been punched.

Should I be safe if he faxes me the contract and it indicates new? Thanks for your help. BTW, the price I gave as MSRP includes the destination charge and gas guzzling tax, is that the correct way to look at it?

Normally you don't test the car more the 5 miles
It means around 16 ppl have been on that car WOT
Take away like 20 mile when deliver to dealer

Look at the contract when you sign it
Also you can check with MB USA with the vin# to see if the warranty have started yet.

Since you are living in Socal, why don't you contact South Bay MB? I bought mine 20 days ago with 15k off to MSRP. Last time I checked their inventory (about a week ago), they still had two 2010 Black C63s in stock. I am pretty sure they will still offer the same 15k deal on 2010 C63s. Hope it helps.
Thanks to this thread I got a 2010 C63 instead of 2011 c350!
The $15K deals are still out there, I went to cars.com and emailed all the dealers and got about 10 responses about $15K off. Some offered to pay half of the trucking cost for shipping to you. But all the warranty started 7/31/10 and marked as sold in MB records so dealers can get the 10K trunk money from MB because the trunk money offer ended in 7/31/10. They also do this to keep their "AMG" status. The dealer will give another $5K (selling at their invoice price), that where the $15K comes from. When you buy it, it's sold as used to you in MB books but never titled so your Car Fax records shows your are the first owner.
If the dealer only give $5K off that means it's sold new and your warranty starts the day you bought it because the dealer didn't use the $10K trunk money.

And as I said when that dope posted how stupid we all were because we paid $55K for our 2009 C63's, prices are back up now that the 2010's and the trunk money are basically history. Nice to see my car worth what I paid again. I don't feel so "stupid" anymore.
