I was just kidding. I could not care less what any one person thinks of the car. Does the trick for me right now and in two years (my wife thinks three) it'll be something else.

I agree and it's the reason why I bought a new discounted leftover W211 E63 last year instead of the W212. And Daimler now realizes people got upset that they did so much material cost cutting. They returned the alcantara headliner and added a stitched dash as standard now for 2011. They over allocated the 2010 W212 E63 around here and dropped the price by $30k. The car wasn't selling.

Anyway my E63 is for daily driving only. It's simply my point A to point B appliance car.

With respect to SMP, I guess I should have bought a 997TT even though I like the older 993TT better.
I think he's mixing up our posts for some reason.

I never mentioned I had a C4S nor did I say I just bought a new 997.2. I drove a demo PDK 997.2 for two days, and am thinking of maybe getting one and with PDK. But primarily because the 997.2 is more suited for daily driving then my 993. But the 993 is just that, a fantastic old school car that's fun to drive on the weekends, etc.. I'd also prefer a 993TT over the 997TT. I almost bought a 2008 CPO'd 997TT last month but in the end just didn't think it was worth the $$ for me simply as a weekend driver. But for $20k less I could get a 993TT.

Anyway, sometimes this forum does end up sounding like the BMW boards with no space for anything critical. Thankfully it's not that bad and they're are a lot of smart people here. No car is 100% ideal. That's why most of us we own more than one. And the more critical we get, the better the cars will get. Manufacturers will listen. They like what's in your wallet.

One thing I cannot fathom is how you can drive the C63 for two days and not mention even a hint of the beauty of the power plant and sound in your review.

Interestingly, that same website (TTAC) had a review of the C63 in 2008 by another reviewer. An entirely different opinion: http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/200...63-amg-review/

And that is precisely why you can't really believe anything you read anymore. To quote a certain arachnid sci-fi movie, "Figuring things out for yourself is practically the only freedom anyone really has nowadays. Use that freedom."
