I actually agree a lot with the OP. If it wasn't because of the ******** salesman at Audi of Tucson I would have the first S4 in town but the dick head wouldn't reduce a diome on the MSRP claiming that it was his first S4 and that it was a 2010 model, so I went with Mercedes Benz and I got $12000 off from my MSRP.

Long history short, the majority of you really haven't sat inside of a S4 like I did. The car is a few galaxies ahead of the C63 on interior. The seats are awesome, the transmission is by far the best in the segment/class. The carbon fiber interior trim option was only $600 or $700 and the stereo is one of the best you can get.
The power in far under rated, the car is more like 370hp or even more (it traps 109mph and weight like 4000lbs).

I wouldn't say the new S4 is better than the C63 but in many many aspects is far better. How about like 20mpg city-29mpg hwy? If it wasn't because of the $12000 off that I got from my C63 it woulod be the S4 for sure but having received a $12000 off now my C63 is very competitive(I got a lot of car for little money).
The S4 could use better brakes though...

 

I've owned about 3-4 Audis . they are great cars.....

but thing compared to an AMG or M cars I don't even think the RS cars match up to AMG or M

except for the original RS2 and RS4

I mean if you take a took E55 vs MK1 RS6 . the E55 is a beast flat out ****in fast

I just sold an 07 RS4. It was the worst 4 months of my life In 4 months I had two major recalls. My new Audi Q5 just had a major failure too. So sorry, I'm not a fan of Audi quality. My C55 was flawless, my E63 did have a trans fail but was fixed and never had another issue, and my C63 was flawless. I'm sticking with AMG's from here on out with the exception of an evo for a track toy I will say the new S4 is very nice and the MMI is awesome, so if you want some basic transportation its nice, but no way I'd buy one over the C63. Just my .02

Besides the S4 and the C63, another car that should be considered is the Toyota Venza.

If power isn't everything, then why do you keep brining up your Evo? Anyway, again, try to keep up, having a riced out Evo doesn't make your S4 better than the C63.

 

My wife drove a tuned EVO X but not happy, then I got her the C63 (w/ Asura tune) and now she is VERY happy. Keep calling it a cute car. I suggested the S4 to her when I got her the '10 C63 but she said the C63 was much better looking and she loves the exhaust note and loves to rev it.

 

Wait till she tries the Venza!

 

I thinks its funny how people keep making fun of the evo. Nothing ricey about an evo. An evo will hand a C63 its a$$$ all day long in every category except luxury. Definitely on a different level and in no way can you compare these cars, but defnitely cant hate either. Evo's have definitely left their mark and its just a purpose built toy. The X's are garbage, I'm referring to the 8&9's before someone picks this apart. With intake, exhaust, and a flash they easily run 11.5's@117($1500). I went 10.2@133 with a stock turbo, 9.5@145 with a stock appearing, and 9.0@157 babying it because of a weak trans with a small 35 series turbo at the end of the season. So stop hating on the evo

Now back to the S4. As I mentioned it is very nice, but I dont feel it has better build quality or the wow factor as a C63. Not to mention this carbon build up issue Audi is fighting is ludicrous. I strongly suggest you read into it before buying the S4. I had a deposit on one and love the S4 BTW, I just feel Audi needs to address a few things. Here is the link. I bought the RS4 thinking no big deal on the BU. But with the other issues that arose I just cant over look the seriousness of it. Especially since Audi doesnt want to assume responsibility for it. $1500-$2000 for a cleaning every 10-15K miles is over the top in my opinion. Supposedly they made a few changes to the S4 in the ecu to help prevent it and also installed a better evap system/ catch can set up. But the car is too new to tell. Lets hope for the best And with most things in life there will always be haters, you need to buy what makes you happy. Location should be a major consideration as well. If your up North I wouldnt even consider a C63 over the Quattro If your selling the SE shoot me a pm. I'm looking for another one to build a weekend warrior

I just put a defuser on the back of my 350. Gona add a carbon fiber shifter then smoke the first S4 is see Oh is a 4 matic too Watch out David, a few more mods (Brembo's, tinted lights, and all season tires) and your R8 is next on my list

Never said it was, I said stop hating on the evo because there is nothing to hate on. Someone else brought up the evo and the OP said he isnt interested in just straight line performance since he already has a fast evo. Why do you keep saying who cares about the evo and fail on the S4??? You certainly have strong opinions yet you drive an outdated E55. Maybe your E55 got picked off by a bolt on evo??? Dont get wrapped up into the 333hp either. Everyone knows that is an underrated number... If you'd like to contribute something useful like first hand experiences of driving each please share the info with the rest of us.
