Check Engine Oil At Next Refueling

My car has 3k miles, Did my first oil change at 1k miles, and this message pops up. Any of you guys get this message?

Thanks for posting up some links. After reading one of the links i figured out that i need about 1/2 quart of oil. I knew AMG's love to drink gas but i didnt know it consumed oil just as fast.
Well.....Time to get some Mobil 1.

Looks like you probably are down 2-3 qts in 2k miles depending upon how the fill was during your change. Welcome to the sub-1k miles per qt club! My oil consumption has gone from 700 miles to 1.6k miles per quart over 14k miles so it is continually getting better.

I just added some oil earlier today, i put in 1/2 quart and the dipstick indicates my oil is full. Im gonna drive around some more to check if the message comes on again. I was just surprised at how much oil this thing consumes.

When I get the "Check oil" message, I add 1 QT of the Mobil 1 0-40 oil...seems to fill her right back up as the C63 AMG burns a qt or so every 3-5k mi.

Mine drinks about 1L every 5000km. I've been back to the dealer twice already, and the message just came up 500km ago again, time for visit number 3. My car is at 13,000km now.

With the 6.2 motors, your oil consumption should stabilize after around 10k. If not then you've got an AMG oil eater. It seems to vary with builds. Luck of the draw, I guess.

i havent changed my oil and i have around 3k miles on it and this message comes up too. i have a good SA so i just bring the car to him and he always resolves the problem

2 quarts added in 3500 miles so far.

I added 1.5 qt at 2400 km (1500 m). My dealer recommended 5w30 for all AMGs. Not sure why when the manual says 0w40 or 5w40 only? I even called MBCanada and they said 5w30 Mobil 1 was fine for local temperature ranges.

I find that the 0w40 tends to burn away quicker than the 5w40.

Does anyone know if we can use a racing oil like 10w60?

this is a common message with amg 63 engines i have a ml63 2009 model and a 2010 c63 my wifes ml63 uses 1litre of oil every 1000 kms mercedes have a internal memo witch states it is exceptable for a 63 engine to use 800ml of oil every 1000kms im a mercedes authorised accident repairer and parts dealer so i have acces to these memos,the oil rings on late 2009 build 63 engines have been changed to fix this problem it is nothing to worry about you will notice as your car does more miles it will not display this message or you can run a slightly thicker oil which will solve the problem my c63 has done 6000kms and never displayed this msg but my wifes ml has done 10000kms and now take 2000kms before displaying this msg because the 63 engine is a race engine it takes longer to run in and will allways burn a little bit of iol so i am led to believe
