Cargo net

I noticed that my 2010 C63 has hooks for a cargo net in the trunk, but unlike my Infiniti, it didn't not come with a net. Does anyone know where I can buy a cargo net for a reasonable price?

I found a thread in this forum discussing the installation of cargo net hooks on 2009 C63s. It looks like they added these hooks in the 2010 models. Now I just need to figure out where to find a net that will work in my trunk. I am looking for a rear cargo net to secure groceries and other small items that I usually carry in my trunk (car cleaning products, air pump, etc.).

Stealer

Unless you want to waste a bunch of time, time = money, trying to measure, STFI, etc and then still wind up going back for OEM.

There are two types of net for the rear, I bought the floor one but paid a little less than 85 at the dealership.

I put in both nets $247.45 AUD plus GST. They are great I use them every day. I also put in the rubber liner to keep the carpet clean so I don't have to worry about putting a petrol (gas) can or chainsaw in the boot (trunk).

The net holds my lap top and the little net on the side is great to put a wine bottle in when going out to dinner to a BYO.

All cars should come with a cargo net!

Can you please direct me to the threads where the hooks are discussed? I want to install them and a net in my 2009.

Here is the thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...cargo-net.html.

I looked at the posts again and noticed that they only briefly touched upon drilling holes. Not much detail there. According to some of the posts, 09's should also come with hooks for cargo nets. If only MB was generous enough to include a net! Even my 2005 Infiniti G35 came with a net!

FYI, MB of Laguna Niguel is selling the net for $55. Fletcher Jones of Newport Beach wanted $85 for the same part!

There are three types of nets (floor, rear and side) with part numbers ending in 074, 174 and 274. The one I want is the rear sill net. The part number for that one ends in 174.

I bought the floor net yesterday. $57. I also noticed while looking through the MB accessory catalog that there is a pretty cool storage bin available for the trunk that has 3 or 4 compartments to it. The dividers can be removed to make one big bin out of it as well. The $200 pricetag was more than I was ready to bite, though.

Cool. Did you pick up your floor mat from MB of Laguna Niguel? I am thinking about stopping by during my lunch break.

I bought the rear cargo net (part# ending in 174) today and tried to install it in my C63. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit!

According to the instructions that came with the net, drilling is needed to install it. I have four hooks (two rings on the floor and two hooks near the top) for the net in the trunk, but there is no way it would reach all four. It was also not wide enough. I took it back to the parts guy, and after asking around, he said that there is a newer part that supersedes the one he sold to me but he'd have to call me back with more info on it. What a pita!
