All vehicles must pass NHRA Technical Inspection.

Pacific Raceways Accepts Visa, MC, Cash and Checks (must have Valid NHRA Membership Number to write a check)

Gates Open:
8:00am on October 16 and 17

Racing Fees:

Car & Driver: $30.00
Competition Number (required to race): $10.00 (one time yearly fee)

Spectators:

Adults: $12.00
Children (Ages 7-14): $5.00
Children (Ages 6 and under): Free

Concession stands will be open (Cash only). Sunoco Racing Fuel available (Visa or Mastercard only)
I'll be there on Saturday the 16th @ 8:00am as long as it's not raining. Temps should be in the low-50's. Anyone want to join me? I would expect this to be pretty crowded given it's a weekend and likely last event of the year.

CLK 500(Gone), C63 FTW!
damn...I just spent some fortune to detail my car after the woodburn "accident" :p

It's tempting though...so, this one is not a private rental event, right?

Nothing private about this one. I'd only expect a handful of runs and quite a few cars (30-50) from all makes/models.

I'm not sure how it is up there, but here in California, most 1/4 mile tracks are PACKED during open test n tune nights (300 to 400 cars). This makes the test-n-tune events almost not worth it for us because we would end up waiting for 7 to 8 hours to make (maybe) 3 runs... and that is assuming no car breaks down by the way

In a private event, things are the exact opposite: we get to make as many runs as we can with almost no wait time at all. We also get a decently prepped track, enough time to practice launches, mods and even live tune our cars with each run. That's why whenever there is an opportunity for a private event that is close by, we jump on it like no other

Umm, no disrespect and I appreciate your insight but you haven't been to Pacific Raceways in good ol' Auburn, Washington. I've gone to two weeknight TNTs there this year and it is nothing like what you describe above. In fact, getting 8-9 quality passes in ~4 hours is pretty common during TNT @ PR. I'd certainly expect more traffic due to this being the last sessions of the year, but no where near 300-400 cars. I don't even think they have enough room for that kind of attendance.

I wholeheartedly agree about Private Rentals. The last one we had in the PNW was a blast. 150-passes between six C63s.

Super - thanks for coordinating this. It's on my calendar but due to the fact that I'll just be returning from the UK unlikely...

None taken.... I was only speaking about the conditions at most of the tracks we have here in California not at how it is at Pacific Raceway; sounds like you guys are more fortunate than us over here . We do have one track (Sacramento Raceway) that is fairly low volume all year long in relative to others but most of the other ones are way too crowded during test-n-tune sessions.

Good luck at the event and hope you guys have fun. Please share pictures with us as you always do

Weather is looking good!
Sat 10/16/2010 (High 57°, Low 40°) Partly sunny

Sun 10/17/2010 (High 56°, Low 40°) Partly sunny

I'm hoping we finally get some of this moisture out of the air.

Let me know how Sat. goes for you Super.. I might trek down there Sun AM if the conditions are good based on Sat. runs...I've got a little left on the DRs. Still stock, will be next spring before I run with the MHP LTs, and hopefully a host of other go fast mods.

I'm back. Very cool to meet up with sneakyneon. His car is flat-out insane!

Sadly, we didn't get started until 10:20am and by then the temps had already risen to the low-50's. It was super-chilly early on but they spent the first 2-hours prepping so we didn't get any runs when it was cooler.

Anyhow, I still got three runs between 10:20am - 12:45pm. I didn't stick around as it was only getting hotter.

My best pass:
1.791 60', 11.644 @ 120.33 MPH (1/8th 7.536 @ 95.21 MPH)

Video:

Timeslip:

Next up for me will be the MHP V3 ECU Tune. I've got some good baseline runs at two different tracks with the Kleemann K2 tune to use as a comparison. It will be nice to test and document the differences first-hand. More to come!

Congratulations on your new time and trap. With your upcoming MHP tune, you could very well drop a couple tenths, especially with cooler weather.

Great job.

I need to find me a lightweight driver.

At 6'3"/230-lbs I'm kicking my own ***.

Wow nice job super! You finally got the trap I've been after! I wish I could've made it but I'll do some prepping over the winter for our next meeting.

I just lost 20 lbs over the last several months. I'm at 170 lbs. So, it looks like I have the driver weight advantange. I wonder how that would factor into your 100+ rwhp advantage.

You had a light-weight driver when your car went 11.47, right? I'm also seriously considering the C/F Hood and Trunk now.

Thanks. I don't think there are any more opportunities this year. We should certainly start planning the first Drag Day of 2011!
