Tuned C63 Vs E63

Hi Im thinking of buying a C63. Whit only ECU tune and secondery cats removed will the C63 be faster than E63? How much should I gain from only ECU and secondery cats removed? Will put straight pipes instead of cats.
Wich companys are good in Europe. I think I will go whit Techtec.

A tuned C63 should equal a stock E63 maybe a little more. Exhaust mods and tune even more. The C63 responds well to tuning and exhaust mods/tuning. Tuner is your choice but do your homework. Dyno tune (custom) is supposed to be best especially with exhaust mods.

Not really comparable the c with the right tune will walk an e.. Remember we match them stock. We get tuned up like 60hp they get tuned like 15.

+1.... the C63 is much lighter and once tuned, it should be able to walk even a tuned E63. There are a few healthy E63s running around though but for some reason most of the ones I've seen so far are not running that great.

Thanks.... the only difference on my car now than how it came stock is that now I'm running 275 Michellin PS2 street tires in the rear instead of 265s. Some people consider this to still be stock, but personally, I don't consider it 100% stock, so that's why I wrote 99.99% in my signature. My spare and all tools are still intact and there were no weight reduction mods what so ever except for the driver. Also, charcoal filters and all stock filters were still in place.

Some mods are coming soon my way, and hopefully it they will bring with them some good track times By the way, I'd be more than happy if I get half as much improvement in my new times as your new times

Rob (oldgixxer) ran 11.95 @ 118.3 mph with his stock E63 (with a baby seat in the back) a couple of years ago Here is the video:

http://www.dragtimes.com/2007-Merced...eos-14763.html

He holds the record for the quickest stock E63 and I hold the record for the fastest stock E63 (trapped 118.998 mph).

I raced a stock e63 with my tuned c63 about 6 months ago. The local mercedes dealer was taking a few guys on a test drive and we happened to pull up next to each other after the light. The sales guy floored it from around 40mph up till about 80mph and I pulled on him about 2 car lengths. Afterward I was shaking from the adrenalin rush!

Not sure what a tuned e63 would do but I think we would still pull on them.. Has alot to do with the driver as well.

Did the board say 1.83 60' for that 11.95 run? If so, wow! Great run.

That certainly appears to be the recipe here.

As you've learned, the 60' is the most critical part of the run. The rest of it is just a lazy Sunday afternoon drive, with the seat massagers on.

Definitely.

If you can peddle the throttle slowly down and catch the RPM's at around 3500 or so, and stomp on it in Sport, from a 40 mph roll, you can really get a lot out of the car. And my car isn't tuned so I can only imagine how much better that RPM pickup is from 3500 rpms to redline.

So the C63 whit ECU stage 1 is faster than stock E63.
Wich tuning companys in europe are best on tuning the C63?

Anyone has times whit vbox on 100-150 km/h and 100-200 km/h?
Stock and tuned?

Hi Guys,

these are the official weights of both cars, according to AMG-Homepage:

2010 C63 1730 kilograms (3814 lbs)

2010 E63 1840 kilograms (4057 lbs)

So the E-Class is over 100kg heavier than the C. So it´s no surprice, that
a ecu tuned "C" is faster than a stock "E". But i think you couldn´t call it a
"walk"...

Best regards,
Daniel

A tuned C63 Vs a tuned E63. The E63 doesn't stand a chance. Gets smoked every time.

Had a couple runs against stock E63s wen I was stock and after the tune... Both times the E had absolutely no chance and I Suppose it's the weight factor.. Stock vs stock I would of had considered them to be neck to neck because they come with more HP but I was wrong. No encounters with a W212 .... Yet!

Car and driver has them neck to neck at 12.5 seconds on the 1/4 mile, I don't really get the comparison of a tuned C63 vs stock E63, the C63 will win hands down.

I dont doubt they are both around the same in the 1/4 mile. However, in top speeds the C pulls harder than the E class, much harder actually. I always say to myself "why don't you film this encounters". They always get me off guard too

A modified E63 beyond a tune (500+ whp) will start walking the C63 up top. From about 125+ on.

But even a 500+ whp E63 wont beat a tuned C63 in the 1/4 mile or its gonna be damn close.
