I wish you the best of luck on reaching your goal. It is definitely within reach. Even if you match your time and barely beat it, that would be huge.

Dodger, how do you manage a 1.6 60ft, do you stall it up on the convertor using foot brake or just mash the pedal when it goes green

Im sure he does. Drag Radials also. Warm them up... Power brake to about 2k.. maybe higher in the C63... Lift and floor it... Let the auto do the work.

Question I have is do you force her into 1st gear and let the auto ride out from there or just let the auto do its job?

This is what I do;
M mode 1 stomp pedel shift to second hold the tires smoking for about 10 seconds

Pull up stage put in sport mode 1st power brake to 1600 or so mash the gas to the floor at same time release break.. Then let it do everything on it's own

Dude there are many 1300hp + Porches out there would be able to play in that sandpit. Same goes for some of the 1500hp+ ford GT's.

Never say there is nothing out there that... you are just opening yourself to get call on. and yes you guys did say no bike can touch it. and the dude pointed out some bikes that could. does not matter if it;s a 600hp bike.

2 cents..

Dodger, do you run in esp off or sport.
I guess on drag radials you can switch it off right?

Without drags sport seems way easier to manage the slip than i can with my right foot

2 cents..
I said later that of course there is always a faster car. He has not come across one yet.

We did not say anything about bikes in the thread. Go read it again... He started putting a bike against the supra first before any mention of one. THEN someone chimed in and said an 800HP Supra made work of a bike and that a 1200HP supra could beat any bike.

1500HP Ford GT's and 1300HP porches?? Im sure they could play but damn dude.. in my life I have never seen either in person. How many have you seen that are street legal?

2 cents noted... let it go.

I have a brabus base tune that has been custom tweaked afterwards. So i can be another single tuner representer with you John.

I think all these tuners are fantastic and so far none of them broke any of our cars, it can only lead to healthy competition and i believe all boats float to the top. There is enough money in the game for everyone to be happy.

Is anyone planning on doing a Track day or even a Dyno day in the Bay Area?
I see allot of custom c63's on the roads here and it would be cool to meet up.

Good deal! Jon is not the only one. Hes just the only one going to the track this time around. A lot of the other OE guys are gonna get there soon.

Look forward to seeing your numbers as well!

So, you shift to second during the burnout.

I've never done that for fear of extreme heat build up in the tranny
and premature tranny failure.

Didn't C63Guy have a problem with his trans after constantly doing
2 gear burnouts? I could be wrong.

I spin from a standstill in 2'nd. It must feel like a train hooking up.

Just ordered 275/35/18 - 245/40/18 Continental ExtremeContact DW.

So i hope it would be 50% better.
Will definitely get drags when the rain stops next year

It's a nice feeling smashing the pedal with full force and have the
car rip out like an animal, without any wheel spin.

Those Continentals will help but if you really want to run great
1/4 mile times drag radials are a necessity. Also, weather and
track prep play a role too.

LOL.... although possible, that would be highly unlikely since their products have been replicated on more than 10 different cars in different parts of the country (some in different countries) with different customers and all with very consistent and similar results - unless of course they they are all conspiring together

Before MHP ever went to the track, everybody requested dyno sheets.... and after they were provided, they requested videos, and after they were provided, they wanted to see 1/4 mile track results, then after they were provided, many requested 60-130 mph results, and after they were provided, they requested road course track results. So there were many people who went to MHP for dynos as well.... not just track results. I tend to prefer track results over dyno results especially on the Mercedes platform because I've seen for myself certain cars dyno so high and not make it good at the track while others dyno so low and make it good at the track. There seems to be so many elements and factors that affect our ECUs (yes they're very picky) which can sometimes create an environment where the ECU shows good numbers on the dyno but lower on the street where there is load on the car, aerodynamic drag, wind speed, etc....

I love the track myself as well and wish you guys the best of luck. We buy the AMG version over the regular Mercedes so we can enjoy them. Nowadays, I only get to go to the track twice a year, but when I first got my car, I was going almost every month

Yes i got them as my daily drivers. I have never been on 1/4 mile track. That is why i am looking for a meet up to do it.

I was a long time Group M racer but that was in another country.
I would love to meet up and get some tips from fellow c63 owners

If you're interested, they'll be a few C63s at Famoso.... along with a good mix of other cars: Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Vettes, and other MB models. Famoso is only 3.5 hours away from Bay area I think. Come join the fun

I saw that and was tempted, but 4 hours each way is a bit long. The wife wont be up for that and i would love to bring her along.

I think there is 5 speedways/tracks within 2 hours from San francisco.
Someone please do a track day
