I was just quoted $3795 for MHP Longtube Headers and Mids (catless) shipped in the lower 48. Lifetime warranty on all parts and workmanship, all stainless, all TIG welded, and all bolt-in design.

Hope this helps.

MKB sells their shorty headers (requires welding to install) only paired with their software for $16,500.

$3,800 sounds very reasonable. Why are they priced at 9-10k on the website?

That was the old stage 2 package price apparently (includes v3 CDT (their matched tuning) and headers & mids).

I will say one thing about MHPs website, they definitely don't update it very often lol.

MBH Tri-Y headers should be a similar price or just below the price of the MHP headers.

We will be having an MBworld exclusive pricing very soon. If someone PM'ed me it might even happen sooner.
MBH/DC stage 2 package $5290
MBH/DC stage 3 package $5800

Stage 2 consists of: Headers and header matched stage 2 tuning
Stage 3 consists of: Headers catless mid-section & header matched stage 2 tuning

Our gains on the C63 with our stage 3 package have seen gains upwards of 112whp and 82wtq. on 91 octane

On our stage 2 package gains are upwards of 85-90whp and 60wtq. with the secondary cats installed. on 91 octane

At $5800 its cheaper than competitors group buy price by $800

Believe it or not, RENNtech has been working on a long-tube header design for the C63 as well. They will be released soon and will kick a$$

What are they going to offer over say, the MBH headers? Quality? Performance? I don't think so. And at what additional cost? Methinks the ship has sailed already...

Lets hope they are better than what they've done in the past. I took a set of G55 headers off today. They had the shop laughing to say the least

This is crazy, you can buy JBA headers along with mid-section with a choice of coating for around $1K... four-fold price difference just because it is a MB.

Funny b/c they once told me (when they only had their "shorty" headers) that they never bothered with long-tube or tri-y design headers b/c they "usually lose low-mid end TQ" and they're "too radical" since they will "almost always void the customer's warranty."

That was when I asked them for advice about getting headers and then again after I asked for a quick ecu retune (at little to no cost) after I got my MBH Tri-Y headers installed, and they said "no."

I guess they changed their minds after MHP, MBH, and others brought their LT and Tri-Y headers to market. Hmmm....

I'm sure the RENNtech LT headers will be a very high-quality product making decent HP/TQ, but they will undoubtedly be very expensive.

Was that before or after Renntech's owner started a fist fight in DC's showroom? We were the number 1 renntech dealer in the USA according to their sales Reps data. I've seen and installed/uninstalled all of there headers. Much like Evo got away from Supersprint for quality issues. We did the same with RT. And we've got the proof to prove it.

moral of the story all these prices can drop with a little competition...what happened to factoring in R&D. now its hand over fist instead of 3 hands over fist

RENNtech works hard at keeping their products as street legal as possible. However, if a customer demands a custom product, they are more than happy to design and create one. RENNtech does make long tube headers for Mercedes and in fact has made them in the past for a few customers already.

Those shorty headers for the 55k were designed sometime in 2003 (almost 7 years ago). At the time, it was on par with other products on the market. Since then, they've made many revisions, improvements, and updates (as every company should do over time to each of their products).

I understand a company with their reputation advising customers to stick with short-style headers in order to avoid smog headaches and such. But if the customer insists on going with a certain route, make not mistake, they will work them. The C63 headers are coming

I understand that incident was supposed to be a private matter. Not sure why it is being brought up in the headers thread

I wouldn't say all yet... have you done any of the long tube stuff?
