Calling All Owners Without Resonators

I'm looking to get this done but I was curious for any input/recommendations/reviews/testimonials. Anyone get it and not like it?

I've been told there's different ways of going about it: removing baffling, replacing with straight pipes, replacing with different ("better") resonators, any suggestions?

Any drone issues while cruising? I put on a lot of hwy miles. I know I've read threads about drone when removing the resonators and to remove the 2nd cats instead, but there are people here that have done it but are not experiencing any drone.

I have both my resonators and 2ndary cats removed. The resonators are replaced with straight pipes and it sounds great! Alot more aggressive then stock. You will get VERY minimal to no drone while driving.

I have just my 2nd cat removed and replaced with straight pipes. From what I've read here it's the best solution for a DD. No droning and every 100km the exhaust gets a little louder.

The factory "resonator" is actually a mini H pipe. The purpose of a crossover pipe, be it H or X, is to increase torque throughout the rpm band. Granted the crossover in this instance is only .5" however if it were mine I would keep it in. Take it fwiw.

might be interested in this. my my 2nd cat is just fastened in right now (never got it welded when i got rid of my xpipe) so this might be the best route. I'll look into this, thanks.

No it's not ..... the resonators are located just in front of the H crossover, and has no effect on torque, since it's not only too far back but also too small. If you remove the sec. cats and replace with straight pipes you'll loose torque.

Correct....but you'll also gain a bit of hp on the top end.

I have both removed and replaced with straight pipes. There is a bit of drone but I only feel it at low speeds you wont feel it on the HWY. If your only going to remove resonators there is no drone at all.
