Quaife LSD installed at ACG New York
I just wanted to post to everyone about my experience with ACG. I placed my order with James at ACG for my Quaife LSD in December. I was supposed to have it installed by the end of December, but we got slammed for about a month straight of record snowfall amounts. Khan from ACG NY was kind enough to call me to ask when I would be available for the install. At the time I thought the weekend would be great, which he was more than happy to schedule for me. Unfortunately, with all the snowfalls, I had to continuously postpone it till this weekend. I have to say that they are professional and patient with me. I dropped my car off on thursday evening with Andrew (the installer) after their shop had closed and he was kind enough to drop me off at home. My car was washed and ready for my pick-up the next day. The experience went soo smoothly that it was kind of a surreal experience. Needless to say, I am extremely satisfied with my dealings with James/Andrew and the rest of the ACG crew that I will definitely be using them again!
I just wanted everyone to know how my experience went at ACG NY. Just incase anyone else was wondering.
Needless to say...I powerslided onto Ocean Parkway immediately and the traction control wasn't spazzing out on me! lol

I actually got it through the group buy for Quaife LSD's from James at ACG back in December. I believe it was 1500. I have to check my CC to verify.
I don't think Andrew took 11 hours to perform the job. They asked that I drop the car off at night after I got off work, because it takes time for the car to cool down before they could take off the exhaust. They open up at 9 am and my car was washed/ready for me to pick up by 3pm. So I'm thinking 6 hour job? Maybe James could chime in on this. Keep in mind though, that Andrew has quite a bit of experience performing this install.

Definately not 11 hours. When I had mine done by Andrew, I dropped
the car off at 8:00 a.m. and received a call about 2:00 p.m. the same
day to pick it up. Also washed.

it takes us about 3-5 hours depending on if we take a lunch or not... HOWEVER... the book time is about 9 to 11 hours...
Jeff glad to hear you finally got it put on so you can get out of your driveway lol

Would you be ok with a brief conversation directly with the shop owner who will be installing mine tomorrow. He has lots of experience building and driving dedicated track cars but primarily with Mitsibishi, Suburu and BMW.

It's a night and day difference! You'll still get wheel spin if you hammer it in a mid tight turn, but it will no longer be doing a one legged wheel spin. The LSD will kick in and be prepared for the back to swing out if you don't let off the throttle. The most glaring thing I noticed is that the traction control doesn't kick in as much (even in comfort mode). You can feel the power being put down to the ground more efficiently.

Thanks James. Are there any other parts needed for the installation other than what's included in the install kit?
