My C63 is going! Moving onto something...more...wilder ;)
So my C63 is up for sale this week and I am placing my order after Easter for a new car. Really, it's the opposite end of the spectrum for what a car offers.
The C63 wasn't cutting it for me personally performance wise, I wanted something more aggressive, I was thinking Porsche GT3/etc but the price of these supercars put me off. So I've settled on the below.
![](http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2463/3980695783_c18490740c.jpg)
Going the full hog to 700hp+ with an LS7 (7.0L) and expecting to achieve the below figures.
0-60 in 2.6
0-100 in 5.9
0-100-0 in 9.4
1/4-mile in 9.9 sec @ 143 MPH
1.54 lateral G's on tires shipped with it and suspension at tallest setting (5 inches of ground clearance)
Unlike most you see on the net too, I am going to invest a bit of cash into the interior to make it much much more livable.
Only downside (although also an upside) is that I have to build the entire thing (approx 300-400h).
Should be fun.

The car, chassis, etc around 65k AUD to my door
The engine, ecu, etc around another 20k AUD
Other accessories 15k AUD
Interior 10K AUD - includes electronic dash, etc
Contingency budget 5K AUD
Compliance, on road costs, taxes etc 10K AUD
So all up around 125k AUD. About the price I am expecting to sell the C63 for (was 155k brand new)

It's styled based on the old group C cars. Not a style that appeals to all. I personally don't care what it looks like, for me its a car that produces function over form.

I was going to do a factory five kit, from my old SCCA stang, only to find out form true builders that those numbers were closer to 1500 hours.
Anyway good luck, and I think it would be a great project. ALas, with two small kids my project days are on hold for a few years.

People make jokes about how it always comes with everything (screw, bolt, nut, sealant, tape, etc).
There are many build sites like http://www.ultima-gtr.info/ available online.
Did you see this Alex http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...2755&silo=1011
I'd prefer to build a brand new one myself (I can even pay someone to help me $20,000) and still come under the cost of that car and be much higher spec too.
Infact, that guy just put his price up from 140,000 to 155,000 a few weeks ago. Cheeky
